I love how this author's mind works

I really loved this book and was surprised by so many things in it! I also read her other book the last bad man and it's more of the same weird, unique thinking. This was not predictable, and I really appreciate that. It also speaks to women in midlife crisis, which I can also relate to!

I discovered Octavia Butler 8 years ago and I wish it had been sooner! I have read almost every book she's written. This is a great collection of short stories that have anecdotes bythe writer. I love learning more about how she thought and created.

I like the writer- the end bothered me after such a great story! I am reading the Marrow Thieves now and it made me want to quit in case the ending of that book is just as disappointing! I guess you could say its the journey not the destination??

I heard an interview on the Mysterious Universe Podcast with this writer. She was so exuberant and well spoken I had to hear more of her unique, incredibly intelligent book. During the interview she shared that after the book came out she was been banned on social media for no reason that she knows of! Makes you wonder!The things she writes about aren't shocking but very interesting and compelling -especially in regards to the US and our history with UFO'S. Don't let this completely factual narrative slip by you! Intertwining spirituality with phenomenon is such an interesting angle to me. I absolutely loved this book. I'll be listening to it again asap.
