Historia
What would happen if a shy introvert lived like a gregarious extrovert for one year? If she knowingly and willingly put herself in perilous social situations that she’d normally avoid at all costs? Writer Jessica Pan intends to find out. With the help of various extrovert mentors, Jessica sets up a series of personal challenges (talk to strangers, perform stand-up comedy, host a dinner party, travel alone, make friends on the road, and much, much worse) to explore whether living like an extrovert can teach her lessons that might improve the quality of her life.

Best book this year!
Revisado: 01-26-22
Best book I’ve read all year long! It’s sincere, informative, and hilarious. I had so many laugh out loud moments that I had tears on my face. After it all, I am overwhelmed with the amount of admiration and respect for the authors bravery for everything she’s done.

Historia
From the time Courtney E. Martin strapped her daughter, Maya, to her chest for long walks, she was curious about Emerson Elementary, a public school down the street from her Oakland home. She learned that White families in their gentrifying neighborhood largely avoided the majority-Black, poorly-rated school. As she began asking why, a journey of a thousand moral miles began. Learning in Public is the story, not just Courtney’s journey, but a whole country’s.

So scattered that it’s painful to listen to
Revisado: 01-05-22
There’s no organization of this book. It sounds more like a sad person rambling on and on instead of a decently curated content. She trails off and piles on information that’s not even related. Of the 3 dozens of books I’ve purchased in Audible, this is the worst. I listened to half of the book and couldn’t stand the inefficiency and logical fallacies anymore. I want my time back.

Boring book
Revisado: 05-31-18
The whole book is about one sentence: millionaires are thrifty. The rest is just dozens of hours of piling of unnecessary data points.

Can’t wait
Revisado: 12-18-17
Love the principles. I used it to get up early. It really works.
The beginning of the book is kind of too preachy and testimonial centric, kind of creeped me a little, but it turns out to be brilliant !!

Good theory but too much fluff in the book
Revisado: 05-26-17
The 5 second rule works, but it is probably better off to be a speech than an full book. This full has too much fluff in it that I almost deleted the book after listing to the first hour.
Glad I stuck through though.

More like a testimony than a elaborated skill book
Revisado: 12-11-15
After listening to the whole book, I still don't see much technics, seems like the whole book is about how awesome this scrum process is and how it delivers great results. But how???
What exactly is the process and the science behind it ???
Later on I had to do some google searches to learn more about the science piece and process piece of scrum, from elsewhere....
This book is more like a testimony. A lot of interesting stories though!

Useful, but I was hoping for more.
Revisado: 09-02-15
I was hoping for way more useful methods / techniques. This book basically goes over the basic principle with a bit of methodology. But still pretty happy with the quality
