The best evidence in favor of an afterlife are the multiple, independent investigation approaches all pointing, in different ways, to postmortem survival. This essay includes nine categories of inquiry. Dr Mishlove examines the evidence from these nine distinct domains pointing to survival of consciousness. While each individual domain of evidence is strong, when united as a whole, they are virtually invincible.

Mainly stories about ghost encounters
Revisado: 09-25-24
Very little went into scientific proof of life after death. This was mainly a summary of various first-hand accounts of encounters with people who who've passed away.
There was also something about the narration. I cannot put my finger on it, but there was a slight accent which made it difficult to listen to.

There are moments when we achieve peak performance: An athlete plays a perfect game; a business has a quarter with once-in-a-lifetime profits. But these moments are often elusive, and for every amazing day, we may have a hundred ordinary and even unsatisfying days. Fulfillment doesn’t come from isolated peak experiences, but rather from many consistent good days. So how do we sustain performance, while avoiding burnout and maintaining balance? In Optimal, Daniel Goleman and Cary Cherniss reveal how emotional intelligence can help us have a great day, any day.

Lack of Structure
Revisado: 08-05-24
The narration was dull. I would have enjoyed a more enthusiastic narrator. Concepts were all over the place, and worse they were delivered repetitively.

It's America in 1962. Slavery is legal once again. The few Jews who still survive hide under assumed names. In San Francisco, the I Ching is as common as the Yellow Pages. All because some twenty years earlier the United States lost a war - and is now occupied by Nazi Germany and Japan.

I didn’t get. The story was ok, but I don’t know if the story had to do more with mental illness or with supernatural occurrences.

Terrible Voiceover, poorly structured sentences, and incomplete instruction
Revisado: 06-17-22
The voiceover sounds like it’s being read by a robot; a bad one at that.
The senate ves are structured as if it was a first draft manuscript with Poot grammar sprinkled throughout the text; and that’s coming from me.
Even though the bad grammar gives one the impression that not a lot of effort went Into producing a quality product, I may have been able to overlook it if I would have seen value in the substance of the material being explained, but that wasn’t the case. Ideas were glossed over, with only one or two examples, at most, provided for instruction.
I thought this book was going to teach one to use the principles. It felt more like someone quickly telling you about how the system works while on an elevator ride.
Save your money and look elsewhere for proper instruction on improving your memory.

A must read if you or anyone you know is suffering from a metabolic disease
Revisado: 11-06-21
Great read. Lots of science and at the end four simple rules to follow when shopping for food. The only problem I see is convincing your loved one, or maybe even yourself, if not falling into the same old traps of processed food. For that, one may need to read another book on addiction, or creating healthy habits.
Good reading, and good luck!

Brief, and lacking
Revisado: 08-29-19
The first issue that jumps out is the monotone performance of the narrator. It made listening to the information more difficult.
Second, mug of information is repeated in other sections of the book, and sometimes within the same section or chapter! I’m. It sure if that was the intent of the author, in order to help the information really sink in.
That being said, there are some nuggets of information which were unique to this book, but much of it had been heard in other books.
The other positive feature of this book, is that it IS brief, so it does help you get through the information much faster, and get to applying it. If this is your first book at these topics, it’s recommended you read it, but beware, to my knowledge, the topic of reading faster was not covered, contrary to the title of the book. If you got through this review, I hope it helps you decide whether or not to read it.

Concise tips for self-learners
Revisado: 04-09-19
It’s great book, with real actionable tips for those who wish to teach themselves anything. It mentions some topics only in passing. It would’ve been nice to have gone over them in detail, but maybe the intention is to have those topics be the first subjects to teach oneself. For example, for improving memory, it mentions using a memory palace, but does not explain what that is. So...I’ve got my first subject “Memory Improvement: How to remember everything”. I’ll be using the tips in this book to teach myself this very important topic. It also covers how to read faster and understand more of what you read. A Very important tool for self-learners. It goes over creating good habits, goals, and schedules needed for being your own teacher. There are lessons throughout the book about having the right mindset during the process of teaching yourself; this is the most important tool to have. Very good book. Tip: I found the speed of the audiobook a little slow, so I put it at 1.5 x normal for a more fluent feel.
