Disappointed to the core

Every monster hunter book and there off shoots I have listened to more times then I can count. Loved them all and the narrator’s were amazing.
Both the story and the narrator died with this one.
The gentleman reading the book, sounded more like an AI voice. Flat, lifeless and no character separation.
The stories never grab your attention.
You never care about the characters or story line.
You end up feeling empty after each adventure ends.
Not sure if there is one true owner for this books failing. And it will not stop me wanting to hear more about MHI and those story lines.
This book is not what I have become accustomed to from this great author.
Oo well. You never know till you try.
But when a preview read is not a chapter from the book. There is a reason.

Best narrator and writer

This is a story that you truly can imagine your self being there. You can feel every word. Every order from the captain.
And a story you will be sad that is over.

I have read reviews that say this book felt rushed. And in the beginning I agree. Then with out realizing it. Your lost in the story once again. Just like all the rest of the books. So just keep listening. You will be happy you did.

All the books in the series are good. This however. This book is what you define as great. The ending. Omg. Blown away.

you will read many reviews trashing this book. even one person saying he has listened to over 400 books, like this make him an expert. truth is this book is very different then the first. which dealt with the quest for an object.
This books takes the listener deep into each character, viewing there emotional aspect and there fears. the regrets of there decisions. and second chances. this is a fantastic listen and I urge you to take a chance. you will be happy you did.

A story you wish would not end

Amazing book.

I have read a few of the other reviews. The ones so upset because the main character says he does not believe in god. And how they wish they knew this ahead of time. The main character lives in a hopeless future world, with no family to speak of and no future to grow towards. So of course he does not believe in a god. He does not Even have hope. And it’s all just pretend.
So if your considering not getting this book because of them. You will miss out on a fantastic listen. And if your a fan of the movie. This will blow you away.
I have listened to it twice already and love the depth of the characters and the amazing voice of the narrator.
Pick this book. And you will be happy you did.

So many reviews have words to describe there joy and pleasure in these books. And they are all correct. I will simple say, to not read , to not listen to them. You will be a much poorer individual.
Take the time. And you will never look back.
