The author reads the opening and then hands it off to what sounds very much like an AI generated voice performing text to speech. It mispronounces occasional words and about half way through chapter 4 it starts repeating itself constantly, pausing for several seconds at a time, and cutting itself off mid sentence. This is despite Nomad Capitalist being an eye opener and an inspiration for me. This does not bode well for a company often accused of presenting itself well on the surface but being cheap and lazy underneath. I like hearing Andrew's thoughts but this audio book has ensured that I will never hire his service in the future.

This book could have been 3 pages long had the author not wasted so much time on the godawful story and just gotten to the facts.

Becoming a morning person is great. Sleep and wake early and enjoy the tranquility of being awake while the world is asleep. But holy shit, this book is not the way to learn about it.

This book will be a wake up call to many people. This book shows you things that go under people's noses for their entire lives. If you really pay attention to this book then you might not look at money, and by extension the world, the same way ever again.

So why only 4 stars?

My biggest criticisms of this book are the same as many others. The first one being the fluff. You could probably condense this entire book into 2 pages and not lose a lot of info. Points are reiterated again and again.

The second criticism is the lack of actionable advice. When the author explains things he's done, he even expressly says that it's just examples and he doesn't give any info on how to actually do things.

But ya know what? These criticisms are also the books biggest strengths! There's a million books with actionable advice and they usually start with cutting 2 bucks a day on coffee and nobody wants to do that so they just stop reading right there. Or they try and give up not too far in. So this book doesn't bog you down with things to make you stop reading. I believe that the use of anecdotes helps highlight the books main purpose of showing you the different mindsets.

All in all, the first half is leagues more useful than the second half and the book leaves you wondering where to go next... And not in a good way. But I would recommend this book to anybody who is just starting out in order for them to get a different understanding of how money works.
