Historia
Sethe was born a slave and escaped to Ohio, but eighteen years later she is still not free. Sethe has too many memories of Sweet Home, the beautiful farm where so many hideous things happened. And Sethe’s new home is haunted by the ghost of her baby, who died nameless and whose tombstone is engraved with a single word: Beloved.

Historia
Sam and Sadie—two college friends, often in love, but never lovers—become creative partners in a dazzling and intricately imagined world of video game design, where success brings them fame, joy, tragedy, duplicity, and, ultimately, a kind of immortality. It is a love story, but not one you have heard before.

It was cool to read about gaming and romance at the same time. I recommend this book.

Historia
As a child, Sheila Wise Rowe was bused across town to a majority white school, and she experienced the racist lie that one group is superior to all others. We experience ongoing racial trauma as this lie is perpetuated by the action or inaction of the government, media, viral videos, churches, and within families of origin. In contrast, scripture declares that we are all fearfully and wonderfully made.

Needed for Parents!!
Revisado: 02-25-22
As a father, that has suffered Trauma from racism, this book helped to heal me. I still have work to do but this book was a good start. I often try to find salvation in women or bravery or ignorance but salvation is in recovery that God has built me to belong to him. I also belong to my community and I’m responsible for knowing myself while serving others.
