great story line

while it was throwing me off his POV was in third person, I really enjoyed this book... UNTIL THE LAST 20 MINUTES OR SO! spoiler ahead: she "saves" the town from "demons" by making a 5 minute speech 😑 what the heck is that?!?
aside from that, it was a good story with feel good vibes. I mostly enjoyed it

corvin king was a terrible choice for this

If I read this book with my eyes, I would've loved it, but Corvin King literally ruined his parts. It may have been better if it were a duet and not a duel, but he was a terrible choice for this. He has no emotion, no inflection, he's boring.
This story is great! I didn't like the random 3rd person chapters, but by the last book I got used to them. If they redid this series as a duet and a different Nadir, I would definitely buy them.

each actor reading the chapter made it hard to follow

this was really hard to follow who was talking unless I was paying 100% attention, which I'm usually doing something else so I had to rewind a few times. the man doing the female voices was horrible. just have them each read in the same chapter. I loved the story though
