New author for me. Great banter and some heart-felt scenes really held my interest in this unique Shifter tale.

Adult language and themes, so if you don't care for that, move on.

I laughed so hard a few times (earbuds on) people in the park started tossing those cautious, unsure looks in my direction.

If you like Jana DeLeon and snarky wit, you might like this supernatural baby.

I'll admit, it took a minute to get used to the way strong females were treated a bit condescendingly. But, it works. Cueing next in the series right now.

Very entertaining.

My first time trying this author. Story was good with twists, turns and humor. Action, sass, and a strong female lead. Add an old flame to the mix, sans gratuitous sex, and a mean ol' mother you just want to pie. What's not to like? I've already purchased the next book in the series.

Narrator was spot on too. She really kept the story moving.

Romantic without being too overboard. Strong female lead. Glad to read about a beauty over 35.

A little sexy scenes, a little cussing. Enough to keep it real, but not vulgar.

Would've liked it to be longer. Hope to see more from the author soon.

Amanda Ronconi rocks, as always. I love her now familiar voice.

Oh, for God's sake..... try it, you'll like it. Love how dear Astrid demands duck tape while f..ing. explaining to her new babe, that we do not say that f..ing, s...t. in Kentucky. BTW, duck tape is for her.

Love this reader so much. Perfect for the series once you get used to her fast pace. Now I love her.

Not a YA book.

Excellent passion, fighting and twists. Just try one and you will be hooked.

Notes from a voracious, but finicky reader and listener. A. Ronconni is aces as usual. Who doesn't love her? In fact, when I ran out of books to hear, I tried checking out novels by reader rather than author.... worked for me. She led me to this series, of which she only reads one, but I found a new and thrilling, humorous, sexy writer who takes me, repeatedly, on a great ride with all her novels.

Fun read, at times emotional.

I wasn't quite expecting the entertainment value I found in this novel. If you love Molly Harper books, you'll enjoy this series as well. I've only listened to the first in the series, but have just ordered the next and can't wait to hear it. Narrator is excellent, story is excellent, and I'm just having too much fun listening to this as I rehab my house.... painting, dry walling, mudding, etc.

I have a feeling the next books in the series will be even better than the first. Light entertainment, but not frivolous silliness, witless women being so self absorbed hotties. Doesn't give all the good fun away in a rush. Makes you wait.

Very enjoyable.

Not intense SEP or the like, but still very good genre. Smart, quirky, not smutty, but still very sexy, funny... tends to tug at your heart strings (no kidding) with the first person experience of story teller.

Would recommend to friends and other listeners out there who like authors like Harper, SEP (light), and summer. Glad there is a series to listen to. Enticed to see/hear where it is going.

Well worth a credit.

King is the "King"
