Historia
Written in an accessible, conversational style that incorporates numerous stories and questions, this book exposes the weaknesses of a Western worldview through a personal engagement with Indigenous theology. Randy Woodley critiques the worldview that undergirds the North American church by dismantling assumptions regarding early North American histories and civilizations. Woodley explains that Western theology has settled for a particular view of God and has perpetuated that basic view for hundreds of years, but Indigenous theology originates from a completely different DNA.

As a Native American Jesus Follower, this work helped bridge many of the gaps of the two worldviews that seem to be at odds with each other! Even with working out many of my western worldview and battling the cultural suppression taught by most non-native evangelicals, this was still challenging Even for me! There is tremendous wisdom in this work and it is communicated in a unique manner Narrative! most Theological work is usually dry and extremely academic, but this has many truth nuggets embedded within the wisdom of an elder!

Historia
Since the publication of the first edition of Critical Race Theory in 2001, the United States has lived through two economic downturns, an outbreak of terrorism, and the onset of an epidemic of hate directed against immigrants, especially undocumented Latinos and Middle Eastern people. On a more hopeful note, the country elected and re-elected its first black president and has witnessed the impressive advance of gay rights. Critical Race Theory is essential for understanding developments in this burgeoning field, which has spread to other disciplines and countries.

Historia
The Mapping the Doctrine of Discovery podcast, hosted by Philip P. Arnold and Sandy Bigtree (Mohawk Nation), critically examines the historical and ongoing impacts of the Doctrine of Christian Discovery. Rooted in 15th-century papal edicts, this doctrine provided theological and legal justification for European colonialism, the seizure of Indigenous lands, and the subjugation of non-Christian peoples. The podcast explores how these principles became codified in U.S. law, from Johnson v. M’Intosh (1823) to Sherrill v. Oneida (2005), and continue to underpin contemporary legal, religious, and ...

Revisado: 03-13-22
The Doctrine of Discovery is an extremely important but convoluted part of the History of not only the United States, but any people group that was touched by European Conquest and the "Age of Discovery"! The Information in this podcast is at the 30,000 ft level, so I am excited to get deeper into the series to uncover the depths and the Unsettling Nature of the Doctrine and all the Ideas that have roots in the Doctrine. Conquest, Manifest Destiny, Westward Expansion, Eurocentrism, White Supremacy, and now Christian Nationalism are all byproducts of the Doctrine and all have deep ties to the Doctrine of Discovery! The US Founding Documents (Declaration of Independence and the Constitution) all have certain elements of Christian Discovery and are full of the byproducts of this distorted worldview. The biggest challenge in all of this is that once you are familiar with the elements of Discovery you see how embedded it is and how interwoven throughout Western Culture, Socially, Politically, Physiologically, and even Religiously, and until you are acquainted with The Subtle Elements, you are completely blind and ignorant of the real world impact it has on most Indigenous and Minority Communities to this day! Thank You For This Podcast!

Many young African Americans are disinterested in Christianity and others are leaving the church in search of what these false religious ideas appear to offer, a spirituality more indigenous to their history and ethnicity. Edited by Dr. Eric Mason and featuring a top-notch lineup of contributors, Urban Apologetics is the first book focused entirely on cults, religious groups, and ethnocentric ideologies prevalent in the black community.

This work by Eric Mason, and All the Contributors Vince Bantu, Adam Coleman, Jerome Gay Jr., Tiffany Gill, Doug Logan Jr., Sarita T. Lyons, Eric Mason, Zion McGregor, Damon Richardson, Brandon Washington, Blake Wilson means a lot to me. This work transcends just the "Black Urban Context" and will translate well to my ministry with my Native American People! All of the arguments that are heard within the "black" Church and Culture, are the same exact arguments I hear in Indian Country in both Rural and Urban Tribal Communities againstChristianity and the true Gospelof Jesus! I have been telling many of my fellow Native Christian Leaders about this work and how close it fits within our context as Native Ministers of the Gospel! I am blessed to have read this Amazing Work!

Solid Walk through an age old Creed
Revisado: 11-06-19
This book is deeply inspiring and theologically powerful! The step by step and line by line walk through the Apostles Creed was eye opening and edifying. This was the first book I have read by Dr. Mohler, and his handling of the Word of God is excellent! Each affirmation within the Creed and then followed up by an expository interpretation from Scripture was extremely important! This will help you understand the basics of Biblical Doctrines and Theology that was affirmed by this ancient Creed!
