Worst Miscommunication Trope Ever

If you hate miscommunication tropes.... this is not for you.

Quick read/listen, only a couple of hours... good for something short to help you meet your book goals.

First of all, ignore the book summary. The main male character's name isn't even Marco, it's Cameron, and he's not a reformed bad boy, he's just a regular guy, nothing special about him.
A couple, neither of which listen to their own voicemails, leave 5-10 minute long voicemails for each other, knowing that the other person will never hear it. (And by the magic of fiction, their voicemail box is never full, either.) They would have been better off sending voice-to-text messages back and forth, or just starting a podcast.

Great but Emotional Read

A great read written similarly to Agatha Christie's murder-mystery writing style. While the story is well written, it can also be an emotionally rough read, especially for anyone who has experienced the following (trigger warnings): pregnancy, stillbirth, rape, abuse.
Story is told from the point-of-view of Agatha Christie's husband's mistress, Nan O'Dea, going back and forth between the "present" (Agatha's 11-day disappearance in December 1926) and the events of Nan's past leading up to the shocking events happening in "present" day 1926.

"Nobody has a drinking problem and then stops, and then drinks socially and is fine. The disease just picks up."

If you know someone with an addiction, be it to smoking, drinking, or drugs, you should read/listen to this book. If you're a fan of Friends, or any of Matthew Perry's movies and shows, you should read/listen to this book to learn about the man behind the actor. It's heartbreaking to hear his lifelong struggles with addiction, even more so knowing he was murdered the year following this book's release.
Matthew, I hope you're finally at peace and surrounded by loved ones whose love you can finally accept without fear.

Cutesy story, of a young high school romance.
Narrator makes the main character sound like a 12-year old anime character, very annoying, dorky, and whiny.

I have completely fallen in love with this series, although I did like books 1 and 2 better than this one. The plot itself was great and suspenseful, especially towards the second half of the book, but the first half wasn't as enticing as the previous 2 books. Also, Amy McFadden, though a WONDERFUL narrator, changed Fordham's voice a bit in this book, making him sound a bit like Tieren, which confused me at first. Can't wait for my next credit to download Book 4 and preorder Book 5!

Colin’s story is my absolute favorite out of the 8 Bridgerton children. This audio listen was a re-read for me, as I’ve read the series before, but the narrator did a good job, aside from a few mispronunciations.

The narrator is top-notch, the storyline is amazing, and just when you think the author forgot about something she mentioned in the beginning of the story, it is brought up and tied back into the plot. No stones are left unturned in this amazing fantasy story

Narrators were great, especially the male. I loved the actual plot of the story: the action, the magic, the fight between good and evil. The "romance" (i.e. lust and sex) is so unrealistic that I just couldn't handle it. Her downstairs kitty cat must clap or something, because she managed to get 5 men that she barely knew to fall in love with her and even marry her despite several decades (centuries?) of hatred and fighting amongst one another. Really??
Also, Gwen just turned 18 in the beginning of the series. HOW is she that "experienced" and willing to let them stick it wherever they want?
And if I had to count the number of times the author wrote "heady" and "it was a heady mix," I think I would have landed at about 75. The authors have great ideas, but need to get a bit more creative in their descriptions (just change it up, don't repeat the same phrase over and over again) and maybe not list EVERY detail of EVERY sex scene. No one in real life is THAT horny. Gwen needs to calm TF down a bit and find some other hobbies.
I did love the Lost Boys, though. Eban is my absolute favorite, followed by Ryder and then Trip. Their backstories broke my heart, and I thought the authors did a great job of giving each of them attention in this book.

I almost didn’t finish the book, the female narrator’s voice ground on my nerves! Her “male” voice was a mumbled whisper, and my volume was on max every time I had to listen to it. Her “child” voice was even worse. The male narrator was great, which is why this was given 3 stars instead of 1-2.
