SOPHOMORIC!
Revisado: 03-31-15
What disappointed you about Capital Kill?
The book was written as if for a child...or was it just the author thinking out loud? This could have been a really good book, but there was too much "explanation" in dialogue.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
Nice twist. The ending wasn't a complete surprise, but I liked it.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Very poor attempts at accents, especially the Jamaican. Not much differentiation between character voices.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
The book has good potential, and a re-write with less obvious content would make it much better. If one is new to legal thrillers, this may be a decent start.

Historia
To Robbie Feaver the law is all about making a play - to a client, a jury, or a judge. But when the flashy, womanizing, multimillion-dollar personal injury lawyer is caught offering bribes, he's forced to wear a wire. Even as the besieged attorney looks after his ailing wife, Feaver must also make tapes that will hurl his friends, his enemies, his city, and a particular FBI undercover agent into a crisis of conscience and law.

Over Kill?
Revisado: 01-05-15
The length of descriptions of how one suffers with ALS were far too long. Although a necessary part of the story, such descriptions seem to be Turow's focus point to the detriment of the story line. A good listen if one is not bothered by such things.

Awful!
Revisado: 11-18-14
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
Anyone who likes repetition, overstatement and wordiness.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Michael Russotto?
Just about anyone.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointed as all get out.
Any additional comments?
Maybe the the author is better to read than to listen to.

DOA
Revisado: 09-01-13
What would have made Along Came a Spider better?
This book is racist, pandering to a political segment of our society "...never trust white people". Patterson is advancing his own personal views at the expense of writing a good book.
The book also meanders through a story that was pretty much dead on arrival in the first place, and often takes forever to get to the point.
Save your credits/money.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Not a Patterson book!
How could the performance have been better?
