Historia
The shadow of the cursed Dragon Lord has hung over the town of Lirinsholme for centuries, and no one ever knows when the Dragon will claim his next doomed bride. Rhianne Menyon has dreams of being a painter, but her world changes forever when a single moment of sacrifice brings her to Black's Keep as the Dragon's latest bride. As she attempts to adjust to her new life - and to know something of the monster who is now her husband - she begins to see that the curse is far crueler than she first believed.

Beauty and the Beast
Revisado: 04-17-16
An engaging story that I enjoyed. The narrator did a good job, my only complaint was her inability to keep a consistent volume. Part of the story was spoken in a low mutter that was hard to understand and required frequent adjustments as she seemed to whisper, then speak in a normal voice which was too loud at the current volume.

Ok story
Revisado: 07-09-15
Might even have been a good story with a different narrator. The constant shift between loud narration and the whining whisper of the main character distracted from the story. It also made the main character sound like a spoiled child especially in scenes with his father. In fact, he sounded so inept I'm amazed he could run his own photography business without an assistant let alone actually save someone's life. I'll pass on the rest of the series.

In this original short story, Brockmann returns with some of her most beloved characters from the Troubleshooters world: Izzy Zanella and his friends in US Navy SEAL Team Sixteen. What should be an easy training jump for SEAL Team Sixteen goes horribly wrong, forcing Izzy Zanella to do what he does best: improvise - at 30,000 feet.

Misleading
Revisado: 03-31-15
I thought this story was about Izzy saving the day. Nope, it's about Eden's little brother, her gay little brother, with all the "cut and paste" paragraphs we hear every time someone gay is mentioned. You know, the ones about how wonderful, insert name here, treats them because they're gay and special. I know that's not what SB is trying to do, but that is the impression I get from her words. Why not have a little more dialog between characters so we can hear how wonderful they are? And stop the moralizing, please! That's not a story, it's a sermon.

I really tried
Revisado: 03-31-15
I really tried to like this book. I couldn't. I love the Troubleshooters and SEAL team 16, I didn't love this book at all. Most had been published previously and the rest shouldn't have been published at all. To much moralizing and not enough story. Sounds like the same couple of paragraphs were repeated in every story. So what Jules and Robin are gay, get over it. So Sam loves and respects his wife, get over that too, I get the impression Sam spends most of his time walking on glass around Alyssa, fawning over her and afraid to be himself. So Jules spends his time rescuing his friends, someone's in trouble, call Jules. Seems like no one can help themselves and Jules spends his time driving back and forth to the airport. Come on SB, drop the moralizing and write some real stories.

Historia
LAPD cop Scott James is not doing so well, not since a shocking nighttime assault by unidentified men killed his partner, Stephanie, nearly killed him, and left him enraged, ashamed, and ready to explode. He is unfit for duty - until he meets his new partner. Maggie is not doing so well, either. The German shepherd survived three tours in Iraq and Afghanistan sniffing explosives before she lost her handler to an IED and sniper attack, and her PTSD is as bad as Scott’s. Historia
In Greek mythology there's a story of King Lykaonas of Arcadia and his 50 sons, who were cursed by the father of the gods, Zeus, to become wolves. The very first Lycanthropes. Forensic pathologist, Sophia Katsaros, receives a cryptic phone call from Greece, telling her that her brothers are missing, and leaves to search for them. With the help of Illyanna, her brother's girlfriend, Sophia examines the evidence but cannot accept a bizarre possibility: Has one or both of her brothers been transformed during the Lykaia, the ceremony where man is said to become wolf?

Pendantic
Revisado: 01-08-13
This might have been a better listen if the 3 story lines had been separated. As it is, the stories are hard to follow, jumping between the story of the wolf queen, the child priest and the modern day mystery. I'm not sure I'll be able to finish the book and I don't know if it's the narrator or the actual story. The narrator is uninspired and the story is dragging, bogged down with too much detail.

Many consider Franklin the most fascinating American man who ever lived. A scientist, businessman, diplomat, author, inventor, philosopher and politician, he is America's original Renaissance man. His remarkable and varied accomplishments include the discovery of electricity and the modernization of the postal system. Brilliant and bawdy, a master statesman and a cultural icon, Franklin was so important and popular in his day that, according to the author, "... only Washington mattered as much."

Revisado: 08-21-12
I couldn't get past the first hour. It was like listening to someone read a phone book. Disjointed and uninteresting. Half the time I didn't know who they were talking about or how they were related to Ben Franklin. Father, uncle, brother, friend??? Sorry I wasted my credit on this one.

It could have been good
Revisado: 11-15-11
Not much of a story, rather pointless. Sorry I listened to it. The best thing about the whole experience was the narrator, he did the best he could with the little he had to work with.
