Fun time, no story progression
Revisado: 06-25-21
Let me start off by saying I was immensely excited for this book, I pre-ordered it immediately when I saw it available. However, I feel slightly cheated. I paid for a 17 hour epic adventure I'd come to expect with the first two books but what I got was about 3 hours of story progression and 14 hours of needless filler. The book is still well written and the characters enjoyable (if a little one note) but at the end of the book you feel in the same place in the story as when you started...except all the main characters are now covered in plot armor so thick if the goddess herself showed up in book 4 even she couldn't take down the band of adventurers.
This book also breaks a huge taboo for me, most of it is an add for the authors other books. Karas (or Caras...not sure on spelling) was an interesting super overpowered character that was used perfectly in earlier book but here he becomes a salesman for the authors other novels that take place chronology before this one. Even right at the end the author alludes to "the third part of his story" as book 3 of that series drops soon. Ruined a lot of the book for me
In conclusion, this is a full book that should have been a novella sold as a companion alongside the main stories. If you're just looking for meticulously detailed dungeon crawls and a few clever sword fights, give this a listen. However if you came here to learn more about the wonderful world that was crafted in the first two books, skip this as you won't need much of it to be caught up for book 4. I don't believe I will return to this series when future novels come out because the author is clearly setting up for many many more.
Side note: Nick Podehl is a fantastic voice actor and did a wonderful job voicing a small army of characters here. His performance is Five star as always!

Historia
As the Emperor travels the galaxy at the head of his Great Crusade, few events are as important as rediscovering his scattered sons, the Primarchs, and bestowing them as the masters of their Legions. United, a Legion becomes a reflection of its Primarch, both in his strengths and his flaws. For the Twelfth Legion, once the War Hounds and now the World Eaters, the line between strength and flaw is almost impossible to separate.

Good Characters, too little Primarch
Revisado: 03-10-20
While this book was enjoyable, it really didn't focus on Angron as much as some of the other Primarch books focus on their named character. best bits for me are when we get to relive Angrons past but it is sadly a short section.
