Inspiring
Revisado: 11-05-23
For those continuing to troll, attack and accuse Britney of “playing victim”, I invite you to imagine living your deepest wound in front of the whole world- having your own pain weaponised against you, and then suffering 13 years of slavery as a result. I wish her ordeal on no one . What a badass woman !her story is Courageous and inspiring .the tone Honest and authentic . I’m thrilled she is once again able to use her voice and pray this corrupt system is reformed . May she find joy and healing along her path!

I love the entire series and was heartbroken this one has come to an end. The story is great, the characters flawed but loveable and relatable. I adore Kenji and the way his character in particular developed. The dialogue is the best I’ve ever seen. Fantastic series and an exceptional writing. Brava Tahereh Mafi. Brava! Hoping for more!!

Historia
Ever have one of those days where life just plain sucks? Welcome to my last three months - ever since I caught my can’t-be-soon-enough-ex-husband cheating with his paralegal. I’m 35 years old, and I’ve lost my NYC apartment, my job, my money, and frankly, my dignity. But the final heartache in the suck sandwich of my life? My great-aunt Maggie died. The only family member who’s ever gotten me. Even after death, though, she’s helping me get back up again. Too bad that bravado only lasts as long as it takes to drive into Huckleberry Hills. And see the house.

Problematic book in many ways. Story line was boring and unimaginative . I just couldn’t connect with any of the characters. Lacks depth and complexity. The lack of believable tension wasn’t enough for me. Might be okay for a light, mindless read, but not worth the time, energy, or credit for me.
