intriguing story of not for getting stuffed with Bible versus. I'm not sure if there's more story or scripture

Love the storyline. However, many chapters are only 6-10 minutes in length and each starts with a Bible verse. I don't think it would be as bad if they combined chapters, making them longer and cut back on the Bible. There's already "church" speak within the story itself, so when you have the Bible verse and multiple chapters that jump to add more it's overwhelming and pushes many readers away.

comically bad stereotypical action space opera

Not perfect, but enjoyable (audio)

First off, if you're looking for a book that follows strict laws of physics, you probably won't like it. This isn't a science book, go grab one of those if that's what you're looking for. It's science-FICTION. If this had been written in the 1970's it would have been all praises, but now with more knowledge of space people have to turn up their noses just because it doesn't follow a set of rules.
With that out of the way... This book reminds me immensely of DragonBall Z and the Saiyan Race when it comes to these Fury's (spelling? listening to audio) even the battle scenes. I enjoy some of the predictability of what is about to be said by a character. It's honestly just fun to listen to while I'm driving and making deliveries.
For the bad.... about half way through the set of books the performer must have had to edit sentences he read because all of a sudden the volume would change and his voice wouldn't match that of the character and what had just been said and it just pulls you out of the story and can set you back a second and feel mildly annoyed with it, but then you're back in.
Overall I would give it 3.5 starts was it an option.

Absolutely loved these books. These books are full of love, betrayal in a world of magic. If you're looking for an author that's detailed, but not nauseatingly so, this is a must listen/read.
