A lovely addition to the HRS series.
Revisado: 08-06-17
Once again Rhys Bowen and Katherine Kellgren add another great story to this fun, lighthearted, interesting series. We spend some time with favorite characters and move multiple stories forward. The narrator's voice is of remarkable variety for each character and narrator. Keep them coming!

Another great one, but a missed opportunity
Revisado: 07-26-17
Another great collaboration and stellar job by Caroline Lennon. But a missed opportunity: there is a very important author's note at the front of this book, that was not part of the audible performance. As all-but-this-one the books/stories follow a chronological order, its context is off without that note.

Historia
Sister Fidelma - an Eognacht princess and sister to the king of Cashel, a religieuse of the Celtic Church and an advocate of the Brehornn court-is one of the most interesting and compelling figures in contemporary mystery fiction. In this collection of short mysteries, Tremayne fills in many of the background details of Fidelma and seventh-century Ireland not found in the novels, and weaves his always-beguiling mix of history and mystery.

Wonderful! Thank you to production team and especially the narrator! These short stories provide some great background to Fidelma's personality.

Historia
In September of AD 666, an aged monk and a set of relics disappear during the night from the Abbey of Imleach. The missing monk is a matter of great concern for the abbey. But the relics are a disaster of a much higher order. They are the priceless holy relics of St. Ailbe, the man who, in the fifth century, brought Christianity to the Irish kingdom of Muman, converted and baptized its king, and founded the abbey. The relics are the political symbol of the entire kingdom, and their disappearance threatens to disrupt its continued peace and stability.

Ms. Lennon is extraordinarily good at narration! But this was the lest complex and/surprising story on this series so far...

Refreshingly good!
Revisado: 08-08-15
I was not expecting much, too be honest, but am surprised and moved by the performance of this book! Rather than a cynical and hackneyed imitation of Dan Browns work, this is more logical and character and story driven. The 2nd half is both thrilling and believable. No "Deus ex machina" like others of this genre. Wonderful!

Historia
Colin Dexter’s Chief Inspector Morse - the cranky, heavy-drinking, and exasperatingly brilliant sleuth of the Thames Valley Police - has become one of the most beloved detectives in fiction. Now, with this collection of 11 short stories, we can savor choice examples of his dry wit, devious cunning, and psychological insight at its best. Colin Dexter tantalizes us with six Inspector Morse adventures, ranging from bite-size morsels of intrigue to longer stories for listeners to sink their teeth into.
