Historia
A young, untested team of problem solvers challenged with saving their company moves from board room to classroom in search of answers - and finds them through lively, open discourse with their innovative professor. This gripping, fast-paced business novel does for project management what Eliyahu M. Goldratt's other novels have done for production and marketing.

It may be old, but it is timeless

Would you consider the audio edition of Critical Chain to be better than the print version?
I have not seen the print version, but this was definitely entertaining.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Critical Chain?
Just the ongoing mental dialog around the topics
Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?
Richard
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
No
Any additional comments?
This is a business project management text presented as a fictional story. It's a very unique way of presenting the information. The information around project management and some of the story is somewhat dated, but all in all it would be a wonderful listen for someone just getting started in project management to understand the landscape of the practice.

Historia
What motivates people to do their best work in any endeavor they undertake? Management theory and practice has traditionally focused on elements that Kenneth Thomas calls "extrinsic motivators": pay, benefits, status, bonuses, commissions, pension plans, expense budgets, and the like. While these are powerful motivators, particularly in command/control job situations where workers have little or no say in how the job is managed, by themselves they are no longer enough. In today's organizations, where managers expect workers and teams to self-manage their work, intrinsic rewards are essential.

Good information bad audio presentation
Revisado: 09-15-15
The information is good for employees making at least a living wage but for part time employees or employees working multiple jobs I still think money matters more than job satisfaction.
The presentation is clear but keeps referring to a pdf file and the appendix. Its hard to look at those while you are driving.

People:10 Ways to Influence Them provides strategies, approaches, and examples about how to influence people effectively. The core foundation is about respecting and understanding them, not you, and learning strategies about how to focus upon their needs and therefore make them receptive to your thoughts because you are trying to get in alignment with theirs. A classic win/win approach that works.

Good info wrong presenter
Revisado: 03-02-15
One of the things that make audio books effective for me is that I feel like I'm listening to the author in a one on one setting. Hearing the male voice of the presenter talk about his husband and almost crying after a troublesome conversation was distracting. Otherwise, good material. Nothing revolutionary but a new way of presenting it was enjoyable.

Very Enjoyable Listen and I may have learned some
Revisado: 08-16-14
What did you love best about You are a Badass?
Jen's narration is at times funny a bit in-your-face. Personally I like that. I felt like she was sitting in the car with me just chatting to me as we drove. It's not really a lot of new material, but she has a fresh way of presenting it that I find appealing.
What did you like best about this story?

Which character – as performed by Jen Sincero – was your favorite?
N/A
What did you learn from You are a Badass that you would use in your daily life?
It's not really anything new, it's more the reinforcement that you are what you eat so to say. If you believe you are great, you will be great. You make your own reality, so go make a good one. That kind of thing.
Any additional comments?
I believe this is more of a comment aimed at audible and their IOS app. But when mail would come in, or a text would come in, Jen's voice would get real quiet for a few seconds. Also, when a phone call came in, I could still hear Jen talking in the background. The app should realize when the phone or other audio app is taking over the sound and pause so I don't miss anything.
