Historia
In this poignant audio piece, Samantha Allen takes listeners along for the wild ride of her own transition: The good, the bad, but mostly, the funny. Because once she began this life-changing journey in earnest, Samantha realized that while the emotional trials of gender dysphoria and self-discovery could be harrowing, there were so many laugh-out-loud moments along this winding road.

Historia
Seraphine Mayes and her twin brother, Danny, were born in the middle of summer at their family's estate on the Norfolk coast. Within hours of their birth, their mother threw herself from the cliffs, the au pair fled, and the village thrilled with whispers of dark cloaks, changelings, and the aloof couple who drew a young nanny into their inner circle.

what a long, drawn-out story. the readers were wonderful, though both voices were so similar, it was hard to hear the change.
I struggled with the beginning and middle of this book, and to be honest, it took me about 3 months or more to get through it. for two-thirds of the book, I hated everything about. preparing for the big reveal was excruciating to listen to. I hate quitting on a book, so I pushed through trying to find love for it. It wasn't until the last part of the book where the children met up and started to discuss their lives, did the story get interesting, and I loved everything about it. The feeling this part of the story gave me was what I was hoping for while listening to the first two parts of the book. If the author started the book with this same feel and instead of going parallel in these 2 ladies lives (which is what made it drawn out and dull), she gave a little peak of the children meeting as a teaser, I think this book would have had more substance.
It is so rare for me to give a low rating. I'm glad the book finally reached the point that I wanted to read more, but it was a little too late to save it. I had to rewind multiple times to catch what I missed when my mind wandered or tuned the book out. So because of this I gave the book 2 stars.

Historia
Adrian Monk is horrified when he learns there's going to be a blue flu in San Francisco. He doesn't understand what the blue flu is - but it sounds terrible. Captain Stottlemeyer explains that it's not really a virus: the police force plan to call in "sick" until they get a better contract. The good news is that the labor dispute will give Monk a chance to get back on the force. The bad news is, it means he'll be a "scab" - and he doesn't like the sound of that, either.
