Historia
In this exhilarating tale by New York Times bestselling and award-winning author Nnedi Okorafor, a disabled Nigerian American woman pens a wildly successful Sci-Fi novel, but as her fame rises, she loses control of the narrative—a surprisingly cutting, yet heartfelt drama about art and love, identity and connection, and, ultimately, what makes us human. This is a story unlike anything you’ve seen before.

It took me listening to this to the end to realize that I truly don't know who the author is, which made me realize that no reader will be prepared for what they are about to read. It's just brilliant!

I'm an adult who listens to YA novels because they are great. TBH, at the beginning, it seemed to be going slowly but then things go at a break neck pace to an unexpected conclusion. Maybe the fact that I'm Black and live in DC made me love it more!

What a journey

For fans of Afrlcan fantasy and history, this is an interesting book for you! It took me some time to remember that this was based on Persephone and when I did, I had a greater appreciate for the way the author dipped the basics of that tale into African colors.

I need to go to the year and month when the next book comes out. I'm not a YA but as some of the best Afro/African-fantasy/futurism is written for YAs, I have little choice. My jaw dropped at the ending and so will yours. What a delightful and incredibly-written book. Have fun listening!

I loved everything about this last book in this amazing trilogy. The narration makes you fall in love with the characters (especially Ekon) that face so many interesting and breath-stopping adventures. The author really pulled out all the stops to provide a surprising and very satisfying ending to what has been a joy to read!

As an Older Adult, I'm not too sure why some of the best (Africanfuturism) books are YA books! However, the ages of the characters were secondary to the depth of this magical book that explores iaauwa of growth, power, love, and discrimination,
