Every young aspiring productive human being should read this book
Revisado: 12-29-16
This book contains a myriad nuggets of wisdom and dispels many common misconceptions about the wealthy.
Every young person about to attend college should read this book carefully and with intent before deciding how to map out their life.
It's beautifully narrated, full of research and examples to back up the author's concepts.
It uses common language and is easy to read. The ideas in this book are more than suitable to create an attitude change in the reader.
If you're someone who earns a significant income but feels constantly behind, or like you depend on an occasional infusion of cash from your parents or grandparents, and you're tired and not truly being financially independent, this book is for you. But be forewarned: nothing in this book changes your situation, unless you decide to make changes yourself.

Historia
“It is a sin to write this. It is a sin to think words no others think and to put them down upon a paper no others are to see. It is base and evil.” Deep issues of conscience are explored in Ayn Rand’s dystopian tale of a man who dares to fight against a system that invades his very mind and identity.

Timeless classic.
Revisado: 11-16-16
The performance on this version really stands out. I'm a huge Rand Fan so this short novella was a nice respite from her usually long detailed works.
If you are new to Ayn Rand, I suggest you start with one of the heavier, longer titles like Atlas Shrugged, then The Fountainhead, then you'll enjoy this one much more.

It was almost too easy to follow. Not as deep in the symbology for which Robert Langdon's expertise would be required.
There are also some real-world things to be feared, brought up in the novel. I won't spoil it for you.
I did enjoy the action, the pace, and the reader was superb. He is one of the very best.
It's not a poor story, don't get me wrong. But to me it just lacked some intangible quality that had hooked me when reading "the lost symbol."

Historia
One of the 20th century's most challenging novels of ideas, The Fountainhead champions the cause of individualism through the story of a gifted young architect who defies the tyranny of conventional public opinion. The struggle for personal integrity in a world that values conformity above creativity is powerfully illustrated through three characters: Howard Roarke, a genius; Gail Wynand, a newspaper mogul and self-made millionaire; and Dominique Francon, a devastating beauty.

My love of this book is built out of hate
Revisado: 07-11-16
I spent 30 chapters wondering what the damn book was about, but was unable to quit reading it because of the deliciously pretentious writing style of Rand. I had to know what gave her such motivation to scribble this soap opera out.
It's not a soap opera at all.
It's a masterful work and my mind was manipulated through the whole thing. By the last 3 chapters, all the debauchery seemed to make sense, and I even learned something about myself.
The narrator also is a master of his craft.
The whole thing was a long, embattled process, and I feel better for having listened to it. It's in my top 5 all time books.

Poor performance, reader has an annoying voice and cadence. The material is haphazardly organized, unconfirmed data, and strange concepts presented are not fully explained. Zero entertainment value, and poor story telling. Very frustrating listen.

Built To Last, the defining management study of the 90s, showed how great companies triumph over time and how long-term sustained performance can be engineered into the DNA of an enterprise from the very beginning. But what about companies that are not born with great DNA? How can good companies, mediocre companies, even bad companies achieve enduring greatness?

Historia
The New York Times best-selling author heralds the future of business in Free. In his revolutionary best seller, The Long Tail, Chris Anderson demonstrated how the online marketplace creates niche markets, allowing products and consumers to connect in a way that has never been possible before. Now, in Free, he makes the compelling case that, in many instances, businesses can profit more from giving things away than they can by charging for them.

Great content, well read, could have been shorter
Revisado: 05-20-15
Chris Anderson has a command of the material and is great at reading it. I found the content enlightening and the stories engaging. Somewhat repetitive. Over-reinforced. Could have been shorter but still a great read/listen.
