Hauntingly beautiful, mind blowing

From the first moment the author grabbed me and in an open innocent way pulled me in this magical world at the same time very real. Listening to it becomes a very sensory experience. She describes with her sensitivities, states that are beyond our common perception with a groundedness that makes it very believable. I will forever look with different eyes.
I liked to learn more about Hawaii and it's mysteries and hear about where she came from: her birthground Holland. It seemed like the metaforical journey from Holland to Hawaii from a conventional life to an exotic life beyond boundaries is felt throughput the story. An amazing debut memoir leaving me in awe and giving me a whole new perspective on life and death and dying.
Her voice with a slight Dutch accent is very pleasant.
