Not the Best of works.
Revisado: 11-14-24
I enjoyed the overall story.
I won’t lie, I did not appreciate the switch up of Narrator.
Essentially, without Grover Gardner the Audio Book lost a lot.
The woman that did it (Burgess, I think) didn’t do bad per se but it just lacked something.
Now while the overall story was good, I did feel some interference in the writing like someone usurped Jucha’s pen and added subtle SJW ticks into the story.
Also, I hate to say it but there seemed to be a lot more negativity in this book than the previous.
I also didn’t particularly enjoy the downsizing of the main MC, to try and give a rehashed version of a character from the Pyerean novels a front.
Nor did I like the forced and kind of contrived love interest for this character rehash, of course I mean Jesse.
Not Jucha’s best, and a loss without Gardener reading.
I hope the next one isn’t as meh, or even worse than this one,
Still worth it at this point, but this stuff hurt as a fan.

Not gonna lie slightly disappointed that nothing pointed to this being one of the dungeons inside of Cal as part of the divine dungeon universe other than that, this was an excellent book with a great story

Greatness
Revisado: 06-09-24
Sometimes every now and then a person comes across a story that truly catches their attention and tells them the story of the true aptitude of the author.
This was one such story for me. Not the first or last, but a story that I found gave a real sense of everything, right to the end.
A great story
A good performance

This title has been the worst picked title of all the books.
This is also the worst of the story so far.
Now I’m not saying bad, or that I didn’t like it.
I’m just stating it’s the worst book written in this series in my opinion.
It felt very much like a transitional piece with a good bit of filler pushed in and turnouts that seemed just forced as things could have been handled so many different ways, but we got this.
Anyway it’s not bad, I’m not mad I bought it.
Overall 5 stars
Performance 5 stars
Story 5 stars, but only because I’m not gonna cut into the book as harshly as I could and would if this was direct from DK himself and this weak.

Overall a great book.
Story is great just as the rest of the series.
Performance was good as it’s just a solid read, not really performed.
Worth my time and the credit I saved for it.
Only issue I had was the stats chapters, but they were also kinda needed for the world/story/character building.

The Continuing Murder of Monsters.
Revisado: 01-24-24
The book was good overall, no real downfalls or letdowns.
Good storyline, good banter, and good humor. Fights are good although some of the fights had repeat beginnings with skill reads that weren’t necessarily needed.
I was happy with this volume.
There was a sense that the story is in the end game when the storyline seems to say differently.
As in it feels like the beginning of the end, but the storyline says that there should be another 10 books.
I hope for many more, and can say that I found this title to be worth the time and money.

Historia
To Angus, things couldn't be more perfect. Sure, he still has to deal with an aging body in the outside world that won't allow him to do much. But he's found solace in Alterwelt, a virtual world where he can craft to his heart's content and indulge in his life's true passion. Spending his time between fulfilling orders and expanding his ever-growing smithing guild, Hephaestus is living the dream, so to speak. But maybe things were a little too perfect. There's a growing movement gaining traction in the real world; Moralizers who denounce all the violence that pervade virtual worlds.

Angus Bjornson only ever wanted to do one thing: to continue crafting exquisite weapons and pieces of armor for his loyal customers. Unfortunately, after one accident too many that leaves the old blacksmith completely disabled, it would seem he has no other choice but to hang up his hammer. However, that would be underestimating the stubbornness of the self-made man.

The Price of Power
Revisado: 08-14-23
Good book.
Not as good as the first, but still very good.
Story: Solid work that moves along our MCs.
This book does draw out some sides to Zach that made me feel a certain way about him, but it’s not a bad thing.
Performance: Mr. Thron does a great job, although I can’t actually call his narration a performance.
While the read is solid, that does not mean it was performed.
There are no real changes to voice or sounds, or any performance effects.
Just a solid narration.
Overall: This was worth the buy and the time.
I love the story of Ryun and the world. Zach’s story is a way lesser draw but his side is the more LitRPG part, while Ryun is cultivation based.
Don’t get me wrong there is plenty mix in there it’s not that it’s delineated or anything.
5 stars for me. A good one.
