Historia
The first shots of war have been fired, now it's a race against time to stop a headlong rush before someone fires the last shots. The alien probe that created dozens of superhuman weapons and unleashed them on Houston has a new testing site, the city of Hong Kong, and Alexander Hale has been asked to intervene. With no idea who, or how, the experiments on people are being done he slips into the city to try and find out what ever he can, but beyond the skyline of Hong Kong trouble is brewing.

Ooh Rah!

The hero is a Marine. It’s great to see the melding of a superhero story with a Devil Dog as the main character. The character devellopment is great and the narration is also really good. Looking forward to the next one, and this is my second time thru. Semper Fi! Nuff Said.

Historia
Reports to write, forms to fill, coffee to drink, leads to run down. Gus’s life was a tedium and boredom he’d grown comfortable with. One that he sought out after he’d come back from his tour of duty. A detective in the paranormal investigations department. A job he could work day in and day out in relative peace. One cold and forgotten cup of coffee at a time. It was an environment that made some sense to him. At least in comparison to civilian life where almost nothing did. On top of that, it gave him a chance to hide what he was from the rest of the world.

Just…WHY?!
Revisado: 02-06-22
The story itself was mildly interesting, but the idea of these women all being stunningly beautiful and all not being able to help themselves but to fall in love with the main character pretty much immediately and want to have sex with him was asking a lot of suspension of disbelief even for such stories. But that was by far eclipsed by the ridiculousness of the voices of the main character and everyone else who was supposed to be male in the story. Why were they all made to sound like caricatures of Italian mob bosses or members of La Costa nostra? It was insulting and hard to listen to, And if there was a point to it it was totally lost on me. The main character often sounded like his thinking was slowed or he was having trouble articulating words. What was the point?
This could’ve been done so much better than it was. I struggled through it, but could have used this credit for a much better listen. I won’t purchase another one with this narrator.

Historia
Academy Award nominee Samuel L. Jackson ( Pulp Fiction) rocks this mock bedtime story, capturing a hilarious range of emotions as the voice of a father struggling to get his child to sleep. Go the F**k to Sleep is a bedtime book for parents who live in the real world, where a few snoozing kitties and cutesy rhymes don’t always send a toddler sailing blissfully off to dreamland.

Irreverently Hilarious
Revisado: 06-18-15
The narration was great, and in classic Samuel L Jackson style. The irony of it being a children's bedtime story, but yet filled with expletives made it that much funnier, especially if you are a parent and have had that experience with your child. Jackson sounds like every exasperated parent ever as his frustration level rises with each verse, gets to the brink of victory, only to have his hopes dashed in the end. I highly f***ing recommend it. :-)
