Major personality change
Revisado: 10-10-24
So far a very good and binge worthy series. But the personality change from Sia Wa was a bit obnoxious. I understand she will develop a person but she went a little too much on the treating Nick like a helpless puppy mixed with a middle school romance type of personality. I’ll see what the next book as to hold!

Historia
Life’s tough when you’re trapped in an eight-year-old body on another world. His name is Eight. Not really, but that’s what the System decided after a slip of the tongue. One moment, he was stepping out the office door on the way home, and the next waking up on a hillside below a town wall. Oh, and the gate guard drove him off, because he thought Eight was a monster. What’s a boy to do in a world full of magic and so many, many hungry creatures searching for their next meal? Well, there’s an old man inside that body, and he'll use everything he’s learned to survive.

Such a slow build
Revisado: 07-09-24
The story is very good, the author paints a wonderful picture that very few and convenient. It’s also very nice that someone comes in to a new world and things aren’t automatically given to them without work or effort. That being said because there’s so much development has given it just feels like an extremely slow paced book. Even parts where there are more “action“ the pace does not seem to deviate from everything else. If you can stay with, it is worth it.

Historia
Ancient gates are opening, threatening the home that Sam and his family have built, as well as the very foundation of Aster Fall itself. The Dimensional Convergence begins as Grand Flaws appear in every direction for hundreds of miles, tearing apart the Western Reaches as demonic horrors trapped by the First War pour forth. They were locked in time by the power of the World Seal, but now that barrier is crumbling.

Revisado: 05-02-24
This was the best book in series so far. As slow as the storyline may have moved in the first book or two, this one has definitely made up a lot of ground. I’m excited for the next.

It progressed
Revisado: 03-20-24
The story arc progressed and the plot moved along but it just kind of felt a little empty like the ending was in mind and we had to get there instead of progressing naturally. Still a good series and I will get the next one but a little bummed compared to the first 2 books.

Builder
Revisado: 03-14-24
This book felt like it moved a lot faster than the previous ones in the series. A very good continuation and I can’t wait to see what happens next, but there was a lot of things set up for the future of Thorn and his gang with you felt like it was put on the stove to stew until next time. I appreciate that not every book needs to have a pretty ending for all story arcs. Seth Ring has a great ability to progress characters without making it feel forced.

Lost me
Revisado: 11-18-23
The first part of this book was really interesting and hooked me! The narrator did very well, but the book started to have some major plot holes that started about half way through. It felt as though the beginning was a nice pace but wanted to finish it so jammed a lot into a little bit making it inconsistent. I would have rather another 5 hours if listening and continue the plot smoothly.

Cursed from birth. Forced into slavery. It's time to fight back. The blood of the Ancients is the most coveted ingredient in all of Damaris. The fabled elixir made from it grants those who drink it life that extends far beyond natural means. There is no higher honor in the kingdom then being granted the privilege of bidding for it. And the people found with the cursed blood? By law, they are the rightful property of the kingdom. They are tributes.

Slow start
Revisado: 07-19-22
It’s a slow start of a story so it can feel easy to pause sporadically and not feel like you’re missing anything major but it is extremely well written and as the books progress the MC makes a very logical progression and does not seem as though he disconnects from the story. I’ll be continuing the series for sure!

Historia
Jin Rou wanted to be a cultivator. A man powerful enough to defy the heavens. A master of martial arts. A lord of spiritual power. Unfortunately for him, he died, and now I’m stuck in his body. Arrogant Masters? Heavenly Tribulations? All that violence and bloodshed? Yeah, no thanks. I’m getting out of here. Farm life sounds pretty great. Tilling a field by hand is fun when you’ve got the strength of ten men—though maybe I shouldn’t have fed those Spirit Herbs to my pet rooster.

Unique
Revisado: 06-24-22
I kind of rolled the dice on this one because I haven’t heard about anyone recommend it and I really enjoyed it. It’s a pretty unique storyline and it gave a lot of good development without coming across and drawn out or babbling. Totally worth it.

Will Jim beat the Pirates while he is on Glorious Roberts’ ship? Will he make it back to his beloved city before Maggie, the assassin, gets there? Why are there pirates attempting to sack Windfall? Most importantly, will Shart ever be the opposite of inside out again?

Still good
Revisado: 05-17-22
This book got a little bit slower in the middle with general banter and more character development but it was beneficial to the whole story arc since more background was needed to keep the line going. Not my favorite one of the series so far but still very good!
