It’s been 20 years since 9/11, two decades since the United States was attacked on home soil and set out to make the guilty pay with their lives. Reece is a great read!
Revisado: 01-23-25
All of it. It was a little slow to get moving, but when it did, it was Reece going on a mission to catch terrorists attached to real and fictional attacks. In his usual no holds barred win by any means necessary!

Historia
The war with the Tahni has dragged on for over two years, taking its toll on the lives of all involved. On the Aphrodite colony, Marine turned cybernetic commando Ryan Hendrix is readying his civilian militia to make one final strike against the enemy, in what they know could be a suicide mission. Back in Commonwealth space, Travis Miller and his task force have finally been given clearance to take back the occupied colony system, but the Tahni have had a year to prepare their defenses and the price in blood will be dear.

Perfect ending!
Revisado: 01-09-23
The narrative through the series was excellent, the storyline kept me hooked in Travis was everything you'd hope for in a Starship Commander and leader. Tahni were just alien enough yet believable enough to be a part of the stories galactic evolution. Although besides ritual disfigurement and hate for technology they reminded me of the Vong from the New Jedi Order series. Not as indepth as the Vong, but they refused to let any weapons he autamated. All in all this was a great series that I read for free because of the account. Even though I had two credits at the time I started, and still have 😁.
Anyway it is a long winded 2 thumbs to any science fiction fan.
Ps.
This book also explains reactor mass in ships, and speed in gravities and what it does to a human body with high acceleration we don't know what it'll be like in the future but we know what it is to have that pressure put on a body in our aircraft right now and our space and our space shuttles. so this is not only an excellent science fiction book but it's also hard science fiction were they do their best to explain how the ships would maneuver in the things it would do to a human body while they do these Maneuvers in space. It was very interesting.

Historia
Travis Miller, his image reformed from the moron who screwed up our first contact with aliens to one of the heroes of the Battle for Eden, is given a new assignment: Retake the occupied colony of Brigantia. Losing it would be a glancing blow to the Tahni Imperium, but it would be Earth’s first solid strike against them, a chance to go on the offensive. Ryan Hendrix and the Fleet Marines will be the tip of the spear, outfitted with their new Aegis-powered armor, while Jessica Leer and her Fleet Strike fighter squadron clear the way for the Marines and their landers.

I've loved the series so far!
Revisado: 01-04-23
This has been a great series and I can only see it better by going deeper into the antagonists religion and hate to rely on technology to a point. Almost like the Youzong Vong (misspell) in the star wars New Jedi Order series. Which is a story that is a little like this as far as first contact one sided and horribly wrong.

Historia
After the Renegade mission by the crew of the starship Flying Dutchman, the UN Expeditionary Force thought Earth was safe for hundreds of years, at least. After there was trouble on the home front and the president had to authorize a nuclear strike on an American city, UNEF decided they did need the Merry Band of Pirates again. So, the Flying Dutchman is sent out on a simple recon mission. But for the pirates, nothing is ever simple, and their mission will become Armageddon.

Skippy and the Monkey's do it again, hold my beer!
Revisado: 12-08-22
I've listened all books in the EXPEDITIONARY series, and while you would think the tag team of colonel Josef and the most amazing Skippy the magnificent A. I. could get repetitive. NO way you flea bitten monkeys. The series stays fresh due to all the secondary characters Dasai, Smythe, Margaret Adams, Fireball Reed and so many more are what keep the series so excellent like some of my favorite series of novels I can't wait for the next one.
Without spoilers this one of course has the incredibly funny parts like Skippy wakes Joe in the middle of sleep to debate green eggs and ham when he /it was doing matinenence. This journey starts as taxi service to another habitable world for humanity. It starts as a success. Until Apex species mainly the cat like humanoids wonder what species has been running around the galaxy for the last decade screwing with elder technology. Mainly the wormholes used to travel the emense space of the galaxy.
So again trying not to spoil anything Skippy and the pirates have to do the impossible again. This time the price paid is great.
Sorry for the insane long review I just love these guys. So put on the headphones ask someone to HOLD YOUR BEER and go on a trip with the Pirate crew and the absent minded AI!

It's not a bite off those classic stories it just has the characters and space opera, with a kick ass Mech and 2 ancient people the Unseen who want to protect life at any cost wich our main character Dash and group of people who will do anything to help him stop the Golden a another extremely advanced culture that comes every 200 thousand years to try to destroy all life. Only the Unseen's messenger (Dash) and his allies can use the Unseen's technology to destroy the Golden.

Joe Bishop and a AI named Skippy vs the galaxy.
Revisado: 09-12-22
I just have the last book to read and this has been completely AWESOME!
I usually do not put in reviews besides stars, but this series will make you laugh make you cheer for the underdog species (in the rest of the galaxy nothing more than monkeys coming out of the trees)
Then Joe Bishop finds a elder artifact which he names Skippy who litteraly has the power to create wormholes in space to take over enemies communications and have them in disarray.
With his help they meaning Joe and a few other humans who were captives.
From there they prove to Skippy that we are more than just monkeys pressing buttons for bananas and Skippy shows us that he while infinitely smarter and more awesome than anything else in the galaxy, we have a way of finding our way out of serious problems. Also finds out that the he would like to like to be a member of the flying Dutchmans crew and be more than what he is. Wich is still a mystery to him.
Basically a story of David and Goliath on a galactic level except instead of a slingshot we have grit, Skippy and a Theranin star ship carrier.

AMAZED
Revisado: 08-23-22
I got this looking for something new, this is the first in the trilogy and I was immediately hooked. I haven't loved a story written so well with such a depth of characters in different houses in wich you don't forget or have to go back to remember them. Will Wight has put forth a world worthy to be talked about with the lord of the rings and game of thrones.
The whole trilogy was great to the last sentence no loose ends to make you say I wish this or that.
Now the narrative and narrator Travis Baldree was just as amazing. It's as if his voice was made for the book wether the voice of Erydyls coin warning him "DDDAAAAAANNNGGGEERRRR" or one of the female travelers or doll advisors who it may sound strange until you listen but Vallenhall travelers have advisors some are wodden dolls that are live and psychicly bond with their travelers to warn them about any danger or just break their ba#&'s to keep them on point. Dosent matter he sounds perfect. Not one time in 3 books did anything bother me with the narrative. That's close to impossible with me because I easily get aggravated when things don't sound right.
Again I can't say enough about the writing in a story with many physical lands and then the travelers houses Vallenhall and Elysium Being where the greatest heroes come from. Even better about the story is the many heroes of each house that fall drawing to much power and becoming incarnations of their territory and have to be put down by their own people and families.
I cannot with words discribe how refreshing this was. Many thanks to the author and in this case the narrator just as much.
