Enchanting
Revisado: 04-14-25
The story is set against the icy elegance of Regency England and is a slow-burning romance brimming with emotional tension and intrigue. The story follows Miss Beatrice Sinclair, a seemingly reserved wallflower with a fiery thirst for revenge, and Lord Sebastian Everhart, a rake with secrets of his own. What begins as a mission to settle old scores gradually shifts into a delicate dance of vulnerability and desire.
I listened to this as an audiobook, which helped. bring added depth, with atmospheric narration that captures the sharp wit and quiet ache of Beatrice, as well as the brooding charm of Sebastian. Their evolving relationship—tangled in misunderstanding, longing, and ultimately, redemption—is both poignant and satisfying.
If you're a fan of enemies-to-lovers arcs and historical romance with emotional weight, then you will get more than a typical love story. It’s a tale of healing, forgiveness, and the unexpected warmth that can bloom even in winter's coldest heart.

Lovely holiday story
Revisado: 01-27-25
This is part of The Wicked Wallflowers League and is a heartwarming, enchanting journey with a perfect blend of romance, mystery, and holiday magic.
I listened to this as an audiobook and the narration was well done, bringing to life the tension and chemistry between Emily and Nicolas as they navigate their respective pasts, all set against the festive backdrop of Christmas.
The slow-burn romance between Emily and Nicolas is beautifully developed, with their initial meeting — when he is injured and taken in by Emily — setting the stage for a compelling emotional connection. As the holiday season works its magic, the story weaves together themes of redemption and second chances.
The characters are well-developed and the chemistry between them is palpable, and their journey toward love feels both realistic and heartwarming. The pacing of the story is just right, allowing the romance to unfold naturally. An engaging and cozy escape into a world of love and self-discovery, perfect if you're looking fora charming, festive romance.

Sweet Regency Romance
Revisado: 12-12-24
This is the first installment of the Ladies of the Wagering Whist Society series and is a delightful Regency romance filled with intrigue, class struggles, and a satisfying slow-burn romance.
Tina is a talented modiste with a sharp mind, a strong sense of independence, and a past she is desperate to escape. She is being blackmailed by her foster-father, and the only way she sees out of the situation is to rely on her talent to earn enough money to pay him off. Her journey of navigating blackmail and carving a place for herself in the restrictive world of Regency England is both heart-wrenching and inspiring.
The Duke of Warwick, with his rigid adherence to class expectations, is a perfect foil to Tina. The story follows the duke as he goes through his own journey of arrogance to vulnerability. Their chemistry crackles with tension and charm, especially as Tina’s warmth and intelligence slowly break down Warwick’s defenses.
I also enjoyed getting to know the members of Ladies’ Wagering Whist Society. Their camaraderie was heartwarming and their combination of humor, wit, and resourcefulness, created a supportive environment for Tina while adding layers of richness to the narrative. These women are a force to be reckoned with, and their clever schemes make the story sparkle.
The audiobook’s narrator does a fantastic job of bringing these characters to life, capturing the nuances of Regency dialogue and the emotional undercurrents in every interaction. The pacing is smooth, the romantic tension builds beautifully, and the dual struggles—Tina’s with her blackmailer and Warwick’s with his societal expectations—are intertwined seamlessly.

Historia
Lilah Stevens first season was the worst a lady could ever have. She hadn’t been a mere wallflower, she’d been the Wallflower. The one that had ended up with her name on everyone lips and a ruined reputation. Before that fateful day no one had ever noticed her. Afterwards, she couldn’t show her face in society without the whispers being uttered at her mere presence. It had been enough to make anyone run and hide, but she refused to allow him that satisfaction. She would make that infernal viscount rue the day they had ever crossed paths, even if it made her reputation terminally unrepairable.

Captivating read!
Revisado: 12-04-24
This was a lovely, well-written story that captured my attention from the start and I simply couldn't put it down. Lilah has always been the wallflower, but one fateful evening she went from a nobody to the talk of the town, and not on a good way, either. Henry, The Viscount of Harcrest, is to blame for all the gossip surrounding her, and she won't take it lying down. She vows to make him pay for ruining her life. But as she begins to enact her revenge, he starts to actually have feelings for her. Henry is an incorrigible rake, but even he couldn't have done what Lilah is blaming him for. He feels guilty for all the rumors, but he doesn't remembers anything and he wants to make amends with Lilah, but she hates him and won't hear of it. They soon learn that there is a very fine line between love and hate and it doesn't take long for them to cross that line.
An absolutely engaging and fun story with lots of witty banter that had me laughing! Really enjoyed it!.

Romance and Mystery!
Revisado: 10-27-24
This is part of the Revenge of the Wallflower series and what a lovely addition! Selina's husband died tragically in a crash while in a phaeton race. It was well known that he and James, Viscount Blackwood, were competitors. Selina blames him for her husband's death, but he swears he had nothing to do with it. Determined to clear his name, he proposes that they work together to find out who was really responsible for the fatal crash. As they work together to uncover the culprit, they grow closer to each other and the bond between them grows. I enjoyed seeing them grow closer, and they had great chemistry.
The story has mystery, romance, and intrigue and was an enjoyable story. I listened to this as an audiobook and enjoyed the narration. An entertaining and enjoyable story!.

Sweet holiday read
Revisado: 09-26-24
This was my first experience reading something by this author. I had the opportunity to listen to this as an audiobook and found it to be very entertaining. The narrator did a nice job with the different voices, bringing each character to life.
Jackie unexpectedly inherits her aunt's home back in her hometown and participates in a documentary about the neighborhood's Christmas lights display. She sees this as an opportunity to showcase her talents and possibly land her own DIY series. She determines to remain focused, but that becomes difficult to do when she encounters her old crush from high school, Scott. They had one hot night after graduation and then went their separate ways. Coincidentally, Scott is the cameraman for the documentary. The two are extremely attracted to each other, but they each have their goals to focus on. When they do start to grow closer, miscommunication and self-doubts make their road to a rekindled love a bumpy one.
A very sweet, holiday-themed story that will warm your heart. I enjoyed it and look forward to reading more of this author's work.

Lovely story
Revisado: 09-25-24
This is a lovely coming of age story featuring the youngest Norrington sibling. With her friend Sarah, now married to her brother, away in Paris, Sophia doesn't want to face the Season alone. She prefers to just take a break and enjoy her books. With the idea of doing just that, she heads off to her favorite spot, hoping to have some alone time, only when she arrives, she sees someone else also had the same idea. Here she meets Stephen. At first she is annoyed, but very quickly begins to enjoy his company. They strike up a friendship and Sophia proposes a marriage of convenience, which he refuses. Heart broken, she goes off to partake in the Season and encounters Stephen and finds out that he somewhat deceived her. With a bit of drama and some twists, the story comes to a satisfying conclusion. I listened to this as an audiobook and enjoyed it very much.
A lovely, sweet and clean story!

Revisado: 09-23-24
This is part of The Wayward Dukes' Alliance series and can be read as a standalone. I listened to this as an audiobook and enjoyed it very much. It's a fairly quick listen, just over two hours. Gideon, the Duke of Sinbrough, also dubbed the Duke of Sin, has finally decided to give up his sinful lifestyle. Juliet is companion to the Dowager Countess of Wyndam. She catches the attention of Gideon, but given his reputation, she feels nothing but disdain for him and his sinful ways. He is determined to change her opinion of him. Juliet has carefully laid out her plans for her life, but Gideon comes and dashes them all. Despite all her efforts she simply can't help but fall for him as well.

Charming story
Revisado: 09-21-24
This is another lovely addition to The Lady series. It is Book 20 of the series and the story focuses on William Norrington. Although quite an eligible bachelor, he has successfully avoided the marriage mart. However he cannot do so for much longer, because he has a duty to fulfill. While betrothed to one from a very young age, he unexpectedly falls in love with another. Lady Sarah captures his heart from the very moment he meets her and helps her out when she is stranded on the road with a broken carriage. The more time he spends with Sarah and gets to know her, the more he is drawn to her. The story is filled with twists and turns as William struggles between duty and love.
The story was well-written with charming characters. I listened to this as an audiobook and enjoyed the narration, which helped bring the story to life. Looking forward to the next one!
