A New Perspective
Revisado: 07-08-23
Excellent book! With a stellar resume and accredited personal research and experience, he presents the information with excellent narration and clear speech. This book really peeled away the layers of history of the North American continent prior to current day. His ideas and theories are exciting and thought provoking!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish!

Historia
After a bizarre and disturbing incident at the funeral of matriarch Marian Savage, the McCray and Savage families look forward to a restful and relaxing summer at Beldame, on Alabama's Gulf Coast, where three Victorian houses loom over the shimmering beach. Two of the houses are habitable, while the third is slowly and mysteriously being buried beneath an enormous dune of blindingly white sand. But though long uninhabited, the third house is not empty. Inside, something deadly lies in wait.

A bit disappointed
Revisado: 03-09-23
I had just listen 30+ hours to Blackwater by the author and was very pleased with that book. Coming on the heels of that, I was disappointed. Story was too long and drawn out, did not care for this narrator at all, and the story was very shallow.

The ancient world has cast a long shadow, influencing our customs and religious beliefs, our laws, and the form of our governments. It has taught us when and how we make war or pursue peace. It has shaped the buildings we live and work in and the art we hang on our walls. It has given us the calendar that organizes our year and has left its mark on the games we play.

Historia
Between 1861 and 1865, the clash of the greatest armies the Western hemisphere had ever seen turned small towns, little-known streams, and obscure meadows in the American countryside into names we will always remember. In those great battles, those streams ran red with blood-and the United States was truly born.

Excellent and Refreshing
Revisado: 05-15-21
I've listened to many Civil War novels and read many biographies of same. This course really filled in a lot of blanks for me. the detailed information and minutiae brought events into much clearer focus. I heard quite a bit of new information in this course, which is refreshing...it was not a regurgitation of prior works. Loved listening to the professor, enjoyed his enthusiasm for the subject and the manner in which he presented the course.

Historia
Harry Hole is not in a good place. Rakel - the only woman he's ever loved - has ended it with him, permanently. He's been given a chance for a new start with the Oslo Police, but it's in the cold case office. What he really wants is to be investigating cases he suspects have ties to Svein Finne, the serial rapist and murderer who Harry helped put behind bars. And now, Finne is free after a decade-plus in prison. When Harry wakes up the morning after a drunken night with blood that's clearly not his own on his hands, it's only the very beginning of what will be a waking nightmare.

A young woman is murdered in her Oslo flat. One finger has been severed from her left hand, and behind her eyelid is secreted a tiny red diamond in the shape of a five-pointed star - a pentagram, the devil’s star. Detective Harry Hole is assigned to the case with his long-time adversary Tom Waaler and initially wants no part in it. But Harry is already on notice to quit the force and is left with little alternative but to drag himself out of his alcoholic stupor and get to work. A wave of similar murders is on the horizon....

finishing up on Clara Rinker
Revisado: 08-14-12
I enjoyed this one best of all because it finished Clara Rinker. I was surprised on the ending but if you know the ending what is the point in reading the story anyway. I am however disappointed that Naked Prey is not in the list to be read. Audible will have to take care to put it in their package.

Dry
Revisado: 08-08-12
I like the book but the reader could have been a whole lot more exciting. I found that I had to leave the story from time to time to get back into the storyt; but I did learn and I didn't realize he was a progressive liberal turned conservative. I wish other Presidents would read this book and take some lessons from him. Hell I wish everyone in Congress would read his book. I think I will ask my congressman to read his book.
