Historia
Lord William Dorsey is determined to save his older brother, the earl of Hanover, from farthing-filcher women, since he has experienced just how heartless they can be. After he and his brother move into their new manor house, Lord William decides to use his middle name and introduce himself as Adrian Dorsey, a distant penniless cousin.

Loving a Scoundrel

Great book with a wonderful story! I enjoyed the story but the narrator’s voice was not to my liking. It was difficult for me to distinguish different characters and tone of emotion because her voice didn’t change much from character to character or scene to scene.

Historia
Nicole Waterby has lived her whole life in the hills away from town due to her grandfather’s mistrust of people. But now he’s passed away, and Nicole is left to care for her two younger cousins. Feeling inadequate to handle the responsibility, she heads down the mountain to fetch herself a husband. She doesn’t realize women don’t wear trousers, buckskins, or carry a gun. She has a lot to learn about being a lady if she’s going to catch a husband. And the quilting circle is just the group of women to help her.

WONDERFUL STORY
Revisado: 05-24-21
I have just finished listening to The Damsel’s Intent and it was such a wonderful story! Mary Davis took me back in time with such well written characters. I laughed and cried with each of them. I loved Shane’s character from a previous book and I am so glad that he found his match in Nicole. Her spunky, caring and honest look at life is so refreshing to read. Pamela Gregory also brought the story to life with her sweet narration. I don’t give away spoilers, so you will have to listen to it for yourself. This is definitely a book that deserves 5 stars! I am looking forward to more books by this talented author.
