Dean Evans is the worst. Not only does the devil in disguise steal my pie on a regular basis, he also lives in the apartment right. Next. Door. I see him all the time. At the mailboxes. In the elevator. Every single morning. It's exhausting because he's exhausting. Now, after setting his apartment on fire, he's my roommate, and he's the worst at that, too. I don't know what possessed me to let him stay with me. Pity, perhaps? I do know that I won't be falling for his charm.

Wow I feel bad for Dean. He has to live with that harpy. He has had to give in and chase her every time. It’s always him giving. She has no sense of humor. She’s rude and obnoxious. Uggg.

I enjoy this author’s books; however, this female lead was not only an idiot but she obnoxious and a complete jerk. I felt bad for the hero. The narration from the female narrator of the male lead had no inflection and was absolutely boring to listen to. I felt no connection with these characters. I forced myself to finish it. I noticed the same narrators did the second book. Think I’ll pass.

What a great story! I caught a couple of storyline inconsistencies, but they were minor. I was soooo intrigued by the mind of the killer and his relationship to the heroine. The plot also kept me guessing almost from the start. Great suspense with hot and steamy romance to go with it. The narrator’s rendition of The hero’s voice was a bit grating at first, but after an hour or so it was fine. Great listen.

Not like the pride series.

Listening to Charlotte Kane for all of the books of the pride series gives you a definite idea of what the characters sound like and who they are. This book had the same characters although a different narrator. Accents were put with characters who previously had none and vice versa. The voices used for many of the characters were just not good. Also Charlie and Berg had no fire or chemistry. The funny aspects of Ms Laurenston’s writing just weren’t there. I’m not sure how much was the narrator falling flat and how much was the writing. So far this has been my least favorite book. However I see the next one has Charlotte Kane back. I am looking forward to hearing that one.

There is such a thing as too much denial. The heroine was in so much denial throughout the whole story that it made her not as likable and a bit stupid. Especially considering how she was raised. Definitely took away from the story.

But learning he wanted to trade me to an intergalactic petting zoo was the worst of all! Now I'm whizzing through the galaxy with a robot butler, a trio of nib-nibs (they're like tiny green monkeys), and one huge, muscular, and very grumpy alien.

What did you like best about Abducted? What did you like least?
The idea of the story was good, but the execution of the story was not. The main characters were so stupid throughout the entire book. At times I had to make myself keep listening. I like the author's other books and am hoping the next book will show a bit more intelligence in the characters.
Has Abducted turned you off from other books in this genre?
No.
What about Mackenzie Cartwright and William Martin ’s performance did you like?
I liked almost all of the performances except for William Martin's version of the the main female, Zoe's, voice.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Visual effects would be good but the dumb characters would prevent it.

Best in series!
What did you like best about this story?
The tragedy of Dimitri and Honors past. How beautifully they come together. The ending was soooo satisfying.
What about Justine Eyre’s performance did you like?
Her variation in characters. When Dimitri "spoke", it didn't seem like it was a female doing a man's voice; it was just Dimitri.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I cried and I listened to the entire book in one day.
Any additional comments?
I liked the first 3 books in the series, but Dimitri and Honor's love seems much more genuine. Their love story was more well developed in one book than Rafael and Elaina's was throughout three books.
