Historia
What was it about a small, humble folk instrument that allowed it to become an American icon? The guitar represents freedom, the open road, protest and rebellion, the blues, youth, lost love, and sexuality. Tim Brookes explores with adoration these ideas and how they became entwined with the history of America.

Enjoyed listening
Revisado: 11-29-21
It touches up on most things “guitar” making, history and analysis, few parts I felt it was little weak and just wanted to forward, specially when he doesn’t have a lot to say and fill it up with sweet after midnight radio talk, but overall beautiful work, he’s definitely put in a lot of work to it.
It was meant to be for everyone, guitarists of all levels and guitar lovers who never played, so it’s good for everyone, not great! Because the one who spent 35 years playing and making guitars wouldn’t get so excited to learn about what is the action, at the same time the one who never played guitar before will still have no clue.
3-4 stars overall, thanks !

Historia
A riveting saga in the history of rock ‘n’ roll: the decades-long rivalry between the two men who innovated the electric guitar’s amplified sound - Leo Fender and Les Paul - and their intense competition to convince rock stars like the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and Eric Clapton to play the instruments they built.

Great audiobook
Revisado: 10-21-21
I know a good audiobook when I listen to one, when you are only listening but you can see a vivid moving picture! interesting history and learn something new, I haven’t finished yet.
The narrator voice doesn’t put you at ease though, overall A+
