Historia
Growing up in the foster system, Quinn O'Meara made a point of never getting involved. But when she discovers a crying baby amid a fiery crime scene, she knows she has no choice. Suddenly in way over her head, Quinn turns to the police, unintentionally positioning herself in the crosshairs of a deadly human-trafficking ring. The last time homicide detective Nick Saldano saw Quinn, she was still the young girl he'd shared a foster home with.

Another Excellent book by Sharon Sala
Revisado: 06-30-17
Wow! This book had me from the 1st chapter. The book starts out with Starla's story, she is a young girl who sneaks out to meet a guy she met online, and ends up kidnapped and sold to an unsavory character. Starla is a strong woman, she is smart and gets a chance to escape. Enter Quinn, she is an innocent bystander who finds Baby Sammy (Starla's son) and almost gets killed rescuing him. When she goes to the police station to turn Baby Sammy in, Quinn is reunited with someone from her past... homicide Detective Nick Saldano. This book kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next to these 2 brave, strong women in their quest for justice.
Thank you Sharon Sala for another awesome book!!!

Historia
Some lies never stay buried.... Betsy Jakes was having nightmares - nightmares that could solve a decades-old mystery. And for someone in her small town, that meant she had to die. When Sam Jakes returns home to help his brother solve their mother's murder, two things shake him to the core. This crime is clearly the work of a serial killer who has struck twice before. And...Lainey Pickett is still in town. The woman he walked away from without an explanation years ago has just walked back into his life.

the final book in the secrets and lies trilogy
Revisado: 03-30-16
Another AWESOME book by Sharon Sala!
This book has 2 plots - #1 is the ongoing plot from books 1 and 2 - who killed 3 friends from the graduation class of 1980 and why. #2- the story of Sam Jakes and Lainey Pickett
Plot 1- Besty Jakes and 4 of her friends saw something the night of their graduation. On their way to report it, they had a car accident which killed the driver. The survivors were all injured and had lost their memories of that night. In the previous books Betsy's memories start to come back as the 2 other survivors of the accident were murdered. This book starts out with Betsy's murder. This story had so many twists and turns, it kept me on the edge of my seat! The murderer is revealed and I admit it surprised me who it was. I won't say more as I don't want to give anything away.
Plot 2 - Sam Jakes has been estranged from his family (His choice) for the past 10 years ever since he came home wounded from war. When he finds out about his mother's murder he decides to come home and help his brother find out who murdered her and why. Both Sam and Lainey are dealing with things that happened in their lives (Sam- war injuries, Lainey - recovering from breast cancer treatment). Their story is an emotional one and shows that love can conquer all.

cliffhanger alert
Revisado: 12-04-15
Have you listened to any of Andi Arndt and Sebastian York ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I love Andi and Sebastian' s narration. They are 2 of my favorite narrators and the only good thing about this story.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Boredom. I was tired of the long inner thoughts and "filler" would have liked more action in the story. I was also sick of the use of repeating, repeating and repeating the same word in sentences. Very noticeable toward the end of the book makes me wonder if author was trying to reach a certain word quota for the book and repeated words to bump up the word count.
Any additional comments?
It sucks when books end in cliffhangers and then you have to pay additional money or credits to find out how it ends.

Historia
If only it had been something else that brought Lissa Sherman and Mack Jackson back in touch after so many years. Something - anything - other than the murder of Mack's father. Even worse, Lissa's car had been used as the murder weapon. Thirty-five years ago, four friends went out joyriding and ended up in a terrible accident that left one dead and the others with no memory of that awful night.

Book 2 of a 3 book series
Revisado: 11-28-15
Where does Cold Hearts rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
near the top
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Yes both plots (the ongoing one) and the main book plot (Lissa and Mack's story) did. I am still trying to guess 'whodunit' and why in the ongoing plot and cannot wait to find out the ending in book 3. The main story Lissa and Mack had some twists and turns in regard to her being stalked.
Have you listened to any of Nina Alvamar’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes she narrated Book 1 in the series. I think she is a good narrator and I enjoyed her performance of this book.
Any additional comments?
Book 3 Dark Hearts will conclude the ongoing storyline. That book is not due to be released until March 2016. I am looking forward to finding out the answer to who the killer is, and why 'he' did it.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes I would as this was a good story and the narrator did a great job reading the story.
What did you like best about this story?
I liked the two story plots- the book starts out with first plot- a group of kids who just graduated high school who saw something and then had a car accident. None of them could remember what happened that night. Note this is a continuing storyline and will NOT be finished until book 3. The second plot starts in 'current day' and is the story of Dallas and Trey two sweethearts who reconnect.
What does Nina Alvamar bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She does a great job narrating the book.
Any additional comments?
The ongoing plot continues in Book 2 "Cold Hearts" and available on audible and kindle. Book 3 "Dark Hearts" will not be published until March 2016.

Revisado: 11-05-15
What did you like best about this story?
I liked how the Antonia and Erick both grieving for lost spouses were able to understand and support each other in their shared grief. I liked how they were so different (in background, education) and they accepted each other's differences and made their marriage work.
What does Natalie Ross bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Natalie Ross is one of my favorite narrators. She brings the characters to life and does an excellent job narrating this story.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Oh yes!
Any additional comments?
I look forward to more books in this series. I hope Natalie Ross will narrate them!

Another Excellent book by Sharon Sala
Revisado: 06-05-15
What did you love best about I'll Stand by You?
I loved the fact that it was a sweet, heartwarming story of two young people who have faced tough times and found love when they least expected it.
What was one of the most memorable moments of I'll Stand by You?
So many memorable moments in this book, hard to pick just one. Instead I will pick one of my favorite characters Johnny's youngest brother Beep. He is sweet and says so many funny and cute things.
What about Amy Rubinate’s performance did you like?
I thought she did a great job narrating the book, and I look forward to hearing other books read by her.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I got caught up in Johnny and Dori's story - it made me smile, it made me laugh and it did make me cry a little bit.
Any additional comments?
I LOVE Sharon Sala's books, she is an amazing writer. IMO if you love to read heartwarming stories set in a small, friendly town, full of Southern Gals, "gossip" and interesting characters then this book is for you!

glad to see more of Chloe and Sawyer!
Revisado: 12-09-14
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
YES!! I loved Sawyer and Chloe' s story, and this short holiday story was a great addition to that book and the whole series.
What other book might you compare Merry Christmas, Baby to and why?
Not sure
Which character – as performed by Angela Starling – was your favorite?
I liked all the characters. Angela is a good reader.
Who was the most memorable character of Merry Christmas, Baby and why?
Chloe! She is a free spirit who marches to her own drum. My favorite part is where she could not find a maternity dress so she pulled a "Scarlett O'Hara" and improvised.
Any additional comments?
A wonderful story, was so nice to catch up on Chloe and Sawyer as they await the arrival of "the bean".

Revisado: 12-09-14
What did you like best about Come? What did you like least?
I liked their first meeting outside the gym, and some other parts of the book. I did not like how most of the focus was on Dom/sub and BDSM elements. I thought the stalker part should have been the main focus and Dom/sub smaller role in story.
If you’ve listened to books by Becca Jameson before, how does this one compare?
N/A
What didn’t you like about Annie Chapman’s performance?
Could not stand her "hero" voice just seemed a bit off and lacking to me.
Could you see Come being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
No
Any additional comments?
IMO there was more emphasis on the BDSM Dom/sub elements than on the stalker part of the plot. Overall was ok, listened to it once and that is enough for me. Not sure if I even want to hear other books in this series. Maybe if another reader is used, and if the books are on sale. For me it was not worth the price or a credit.
