If you're a fan
Revisado: 08-13-22
I enjoyed the little stories in the shadow realm or dealings with shadow. It has given me ideas for enriching campaigns. Fans of the forgotten realms would enjoy this. otherwise there's a lot of small things that would be missed if one doesn't know anything about the forgotten realms. I think it would still be enjoyable but on a different level.

Enjoyable fantasy and romance
Revisado: 06-21-22
This series was suggested in a book group and it hasn't disappointed. It's obviously not going to be realistic and having those expectations going in will hurt the experience. I just let myself fall into the story and fully enjoyed it.

Historia
Dev is a football player at Forester University, a small liberal arts college where he and his teammates get to strut around and have their pick of the girls on Friday nights. That's as good as it gets - until he meets Lee, a fox with a quick wit and an attractive body. Problem is, Lee's not a girl. He's a gay fox, an activist who never dreamed he'd fall for a football player. As their attraction deepens into romance, it's hard enough for them to handle each other, let alone their inquisitive friends, family, and co-workers.

wasn't all that good
Revisado: 10-26-21
It wasn't very good. A lot of rough parts. The recording was awful. Slight room echo, poor quality recording overall that gets tiring to listen to. The sex scenes were boring and too frequent. There wasn't any build up leading to them. More like flipping a light switch lighting a firework pop done shower snore. The characters had some growth but it wasn't natural to me. However, I did learn a little bit about football which I did not expect. I have a hard time suggesting this story to anyone to be honest.

Prepare for disappointment
Revisado: 05-19-21
What a let down finale to the series. Feels like Audrey just gave up. There were characters who changed sides but nothing was really given to have attachment to root for them after they switched sides. The problems of the world is just instant poofed away. The twist was predictable for me, even so way more could have been done with it. Also not enough romance which was what I was wanting. There is a note from Audrey saying there wouldn't be a forth book cause it wouldn't work. Well duh, when things are brute forced into being solved. Didn't feel organic.

immature
Revisado: 04-11-21
I really wanted to like this one cause I love the game. what I got was immature squabbling among characters. boring weigh of the world on my shoulders trope and sacrifice everything trope. Very little world building or lore or anything to get invested in the world they are trying to save or people fighting it. The magic system was unexplained deus ex machina over and over to the point nothing really felt at stake. I don't mind unexplained magic systems but this felt like enabling cheat mode on a video game. Lastly the planes walker characters were the worst. Nothing to them, supposed heros of universes who fight with each other with annoying amounts of angst. Couldn't get behind any of them. I ended up wanting the dragon to win cause the planes walkers are so unlikeable.

Rough start and ending
Revisado: 09-01-20
The whole memory loss thing was awkwardly handled all through out. There was potential that quickly fell apart and wasn't capitalized on. Characters were shoe horned in and might have been better of cut out completely to give more time to other characters. The middle started getting good, but then it was like the author gave up.
The narrators were okay. Decent enough that I enjoyed them.
For an escape book that cost me nothing it was fine. I probably won't be spending credits for the next one.

Wasn't great
Revisado: 05-14-20
I really want to like this, but I can't. The pack dynamics don't make sense. The essentially rape scene was really hard to listen to. Kitty is not that relatable. She is the lowest in the pack and "rising" up in a very awkward way. The author's views of werewolves is more along the monster blood lust of a slasher film waiting to happen at any moment. I prefer werewolves that are more animal and less monster. For example a well fed wolf doesn't go around feeling the urge to kill. Kitty gets the urge to kill when there are too many people in the room and in a distracting way.
