It started with an anonymous post in 2017. They called themselves 'Q' and left a trail of cryptic messages for an increasing number of followers to obsess over. Over the years, the conspiracy theory became a movement, crashing into mainstream politics and breaking countless families along the way. Enjoying God is the point of life
Revisado: 07-03-18
I loved how this book focused on delightful aspects of who God is that are often overlooked by "serious theological tomes", if you know the kind I mean. I was often brought to a place of worship and wonder as I listened to it. I also LOVED that this book made enjoying God the point, because it IS the point.
I will confess that the chapter of this book that attempted to look at certain things in the OT through different eyes didn't sit great with me. That doesn't mean I'm right, of course, I just don't see things the same way so it's hard for me to unreservedly recommend this book.
Everything else about this was great, though, and it didn't negate what was awesome about the book. Truly.

What did you like best about this story?
This book is EXACTLY what the title says it will be - it's a practical guide to increasing your faith. It has some great examples of steps you can take, has great stories, has tons of scripture in it - you can tell that the author DEEPLY loves and reveres scripture - and, perhaps most importantly, takes a thoroughly balanced and biblical view of faith.
What does Steve Bremner bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The author has a very, very soothing voice. Listening to him narrate anything is a bit of a "Calgon, take me away!" type of experience.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
There were many quotable moments in the book - it's hard to pick just one. I found myself pausing and rewinding several times just to make sure I caught something. It was a very easy and highly practical listen.
Any additional comments?
Thanks for this book! It's a real gift to those who, like me, have a strong desire to be "believing believers" and who, while rejecting "name it and claim it" type theology also want to take what Jesus said as absolute truth. Again- very balanced, very biblical, very practical.
