An subtly scary & ruthless story.
Revisado: 09-07-21
We've got ghosts, corruption, death, & books, all wrapped in one. The main character sees dead people (ghosts), his mama is a literary agent (books), deaths produce ghosts that only the main character can see, & a ghost who writes a book! Sound confusing? It's not! But it's very very interesting!!

Great Reader for a Great Story!
Revisado: 08-27-21
I love how Stephen King can write so many different genres and be dead on. That's what a master's storyteller can do. I really identified with the main character since he was a veteran, and even talked about one of the duty stations I was at during my term, Camp Pendleton. This has a story within a story. With several other small stories intertwined. Killer paid for hire, love & revenge. The voice telling the story makes this so fabulous to listen to. He uses different accents and different voices to really make the story come alive. Loved it!!

Historia
Today, cases are often referred to as the trial of the century, but few could lay claim in the 19th century like Lizzie Borden's in the wake of her parents' murders. After all, the story included the grisly axe murders of wealthy socialites and a young daughter as the prime suspect.

Historia
In this poignant and disturbing memoir of lost innocence, coercion, survival, and healing, Dianne Lake chronicles her years with Charles Manson, revealing for the first time how she became the youngest member of his Family and offering new insights into one of the 20th century's most notorious criminals and life as one of his "girls". While much has been written about Charles Manson, this riveting account from an actual Family member is a chilling portrait that recreates in vivid detail one of the most horrifying chapters in modern American history.

Great insight into the Manson family
Revisado: 03-14-19
If you're looking for the inside story on what went on with the Manson family, this is a great book. This is from the perspective of the youngest Manson family member of that time. It is her personal story of how she became a member, what went on while she was a member, the beginning of the family, and the demise of the family.

Historia
This audiobook examines some of the ways in which, beginning very early in their interactions with European-Americans, the Cherokee began to adopt white culture and make it their own. They modeled much of their way of life on the way of life of their white neighbors, so much so that many of them sided with the Confederacy during the Civil War.

Historia
From the "Trail of Tears" to Wounded Knee and Little Bighorn, the narrative of American history is incomplete without the inclusion of the Native Americans that lived on the continent before European settlers arrived in the 16th and 17th centuries. Since the first contact between natives and settlers, tribes like the Sioux, Cherokee, and Navajo have both fascinated and perplexed outsiders with their history, language, and culture.

In-depth Cherokee Tribe history!!
Revisado: 02-09-18
This is an Incredible book that not only gives Cherokee history from the time of the arrival of DeSoto's expedition of 1540, but also, the history of the Cherokee ideas, such as: the earths creation, Cherokee religion, government, & ceremonies. Also, some of the Cherokee language is introduced, including the individual who created the Cherokee alphabet. Absolutely a must for Beginners to the Cherokee World.
