Historia
Augustus Everett is an acclaimed author of literary fiction. January Andrews writes best-selling romance. When she pens a happily ever after, he kills off his entire cast. They’re polar opposites. In fact, the only thing they have in common is that for the next three months, they're living in neighboring beach houses, broke, and bogged down with writer's block.

It’s as the title suggests
Revisado: 08-29-20
A good beach read. There’s a thread of the sharper edges of life throughout the book. But through the lens of a romance writer. I couldn’t stop listening.

Historia
When Edward Cullen and Bella Swan met in Twilight, an iconic love story was born. But until now, fans have heard only Bella's side of the story. At last, listeners can experience Edward's version in the long-awaited companion novel, Midnight Sun. This unforgettable tale as told through Edward's eyes takes on a new and decidedly dark twist. Meeting Bella is both the most unnerving and intriguing event he has experienced in all his years as a vampire.

Brings me back to middle school
Revisado: 08-15-20
When I first read twilight I was in middle school. This book takes that story from different perspective. Answering a lot of those small, unsaid questions Bella had about Edward and his family. I couldn’t stop listening.

Historia
Tokyo resident Keiko Furukara has never fit in - neither in her family, nor in school - but when at the age of 18 she begins working at the Hiiromachi branch of national convenience store chain Smile Mart, she realizes instantly that she has found her purpose in life. Delighted to be able to exist in a place where the rules of social interaction are crystal clear (many are laid out line-by-line in the store's manual), Keiko does her best to copy the dress, mannerisms, and mode of speech of her colleagues, playing the part of a "normal" person excellently, more or less.

Short and Sweet
Revisado: 08-07-20
This gem gives the reader a look at social norms from the lens of an outsider. What is it to be normal anyway? And how far would one go to keep up the appearance of looking normal to the outside world?

Kevin Kwan has done it again!
Revisado: 08-07-20
I couldn't put this book down! Signature Kevin Kwan, the story pulled me in from the beginning. Sex and Vanity is more of a coming of age novel than I expected, giving the story another layer of interest.

Historia
The TV is on, and I’m on the couch, leaning as far back as I can. My heavy, indecisive brown eyes - their lenses blurred ever since my tumultuous, too-soon entrance into the world - flutter between open and shut. I am half-watching half-listening to a football game on a Sunday afternoon. Was that the doorbell? “Who is it?” I call out, expecting to hear my daughter, Megan’s, voice. These days, she is the one person who visits me. The only person who knows I’m making my home in this little oasis fashioned from wood felled by my own hand. “Terry, it’s Mom.

Delightful
Revisado: 07-28-20
I found this book engaging and funny. There is an interesting take on class in India. And a uniquely human experience on how to act when ones class suddenly changes at an older age.

Alright, alittle boring
Revisado: 06-11-20
Although at the end of the book everything made sense, the story itself was slow and I found it hard to get into. The storyline didn’t really go anywhere for most of the book.
