Historia
Ever since a devastating nuclear war, humanity has lived on spaceships far above Earth's radioactive surface. Now, one hundred juvenile delinquents - considered expendable by society - are being sent on a dangerous mission: to recolonize the planet. It could be their second chance at life...or it could be a suicide mission. Clarke was arrested for treason, though she's haunted by the memory of what she really did. Wells, the chancellor's son, came to Earth for the girl he loves - but will she ever forgive him?

Hoping it doesn’t derail like the show
Revisado: 10-25-23
I really enjoyed the first season or few of the show but it progressively got worse near the end and that last season was complete garbage. I am hoping the book series doesn’t take a steep nosedive like the show did. So far I’m enjoying it. It’s not amazing writing but it’s fun and easy to get sucked in to.

Completely Amazing, Obviously!
Revisado: 06-08-23
As a huge Will Wight fan (especially Cradle) and a huge Travis Baldree fan, I knew this book would be another 5 star masterpiece, both on a writing front and a narration front. I was not wrong. I’m so sad to see Cradle come to a close, but happy at how everything turned out. It was a satisfying conclusion to such an epic series!

Historia
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

Disgusting Narration Ruined It
Revisado: 05-30-23
I couldn’t stomach this narration and had to return the book. The constant sick noises literally turned my stomach. I really hope the author didn’t pay for this terrible quality work. I own over 550 audible books and this is the worst narration I’ve ever heard on Audible.

Amazing in every way!
Revisado: 01-16-23
Cradle has quickly become my second favorite book series, only behind Harry Potter which I’ve been obsessed with for 2 decades.
The characters, the setting, the magic (madra) system, just everything is fantastic, I actually read the entire series twice in 2022. I had just read it months before but when book 11 was about to release I read the whole series again right before reading the new book.
The first book, Unsouled, is one of my favorites in the series. It sets up the main characters so well. I fell in love with Lindon and his spirit and ingenuity early on.
I had never read a book like this (progression fantasy) before Cradle and I’ve tried a few others since but nothing competed.
I both can’t wait and am also very sad at the fact that there is only one more book!

4.5 stars! Better than book 1 in the series.
Revisado: 01-10-23
I liked this one quite a bit more than the first book in this series. The characters and writing felt more reminiscent of the Lark Cove series which is what drew me in to Devney Perry’s works.
I really liked the premise of this book. Second chance romances aren’t my favorite trope but this one was different than any that I’ve read before.
I enjoyed the main characters in this one more than the first book as well, especially the male main character. Jess from book 1 frustrated me in that book but I liked him a lot as a side character in this one. Nick was much more to my taste for a male main character. So sweet and thoughtful. Some of his lines made me swoon.
Another huge plus for me was the appearance of Logan from the Lark Cove series. Since I read that series first I loved seeing a little more of his back story in this book.
There was still a little more suspense and action than I prefer in my romances but it was totally worth it to enjoy the setting, characters, and story that the author wove together this time. I’m looking forward to jumping in to the next book in the series!

Pretty good, hoping for less crime drama in book 2
Revisado: 01-08-23
I’d give this book 3.5 stars.
It wasn’t quite what I expected. I first found Devney Perry with her Lark Cove series and fell in love with that series. The settings, the characters, the writing… I loved it all. From there I decided to go back to the beginning and read Jamison Valley next.
I expected it to be more similar to Lark Cove since they were both small town series set in Montana. While there were some similarities, this book was quite a bit different in some ways. It has a lot more of the drama and suspense element to it which I wasn’t expecting and honestly wasn’t the hugest fan of. The other thing that wasn’t really my cup of tea was the MMC. I’m not a big fan of the whole alpha male bossing people around trope. I disliked him for a large portion of the book and he only somewhat grew on me near the end.
The other big thing was that the writing wasn’t as well polished in this book as the Lark Cove series books are. That’s not surprising for it being her first book though. I am glad this wasn’t my first venture into Devney Perry because while I am sure I would still have continued this series, I’m not sure I would have been as eager to dive into another one. But knowing what I do about 5 of her other books, I have no doubt it will get better.
All that said, there were a lot of things I did like too. I loved some of the side characters and the setting. Prescott is interesting to me and I’m excited to see more of the town and it’s people. I’m especially excited because the next book features Logan from the Lark Cove series.

Historia
Worn out after decades of packing steel and raising hell, Viv, the orc barbarian, cashes out of the warrior’s life with one final score. However, her dreams of a fresh start filling mugs instead of swinging swords are hardly a sure bet. Old frenemies and Thune’s shady underbelly may just upset her plans. To finally build something that will last, Viv will need some new partners, and a different kind of resolve.

Loved it!!
Revisado: 01-04-23
I loved this book so much!! It was so warm and fuzzy, like reading a hug!
I was already a huge fan of Travis Baldree due to his narration work, especially on Cradle, so when I heard that he had published his own book it instantly went on my list.
I was intrigued by the description since I had never read anything like it. All I can say now is that I need more like it!
I read somewhere that the author has already written another book and I am hoping it is related to these characters or at least in the same world. But after how much I enjoyed this book, I’ll give it a shot either way!

Historia
Shay Gable hated my guts, and I hated hers, too. We went out of our way to avoid one another at all times. When she came in my direction, I went the other. When we locked eyes, she’d turn and walk away. All of that changed the day I was presented with a challenge. It started out as a stupid bet: make Shay fall in love with me before I fell in love with her first. That was an easy bet for me to win. I didn’t love. I hardly liked. Yet slowly the game started to shift. Shay made me crave things I never knew I wanted.

Amazing story but has some narration issues
Revisado: 07-15-22
Story:
I loved this book so much! It doesn’t quite top Eleanor & Grey which was the book that introduced me to Brittainy C. Cherry and to these characters, but it’s a close thing.
I always love a good enemies to lovers story and the bet was a cute way to move along the story. I loved how the characters began to open up and how it the book didn’t shy away from heavy, emotional topics and depicting people with mental illness.
I cried multiple times while reading this book and that’s always a huge win for me with books. I love books that make me feel something.
The ending left me dying for more so I’m so glad part two is already out. I’m starting it now!
Narration:
I listened to this book on Audible and unfortunately that was the worst part of the experience. If I could rate the narration separately it would probably by a 3.5. There were multiple issues with the narration. It wasn’t the voice actors voices, but rather actual errors. At one point the narration refers to Landon’s uncle as Dan rather than Lance. There’s also a part where the female voice actor mispronounced a word and they re-recorded the line with the pronunciation corrected but it played after the un-corrected version of the line so there was just this one part twice. I was listening while driving and stuff so I couldn’t check every since issue against the ebook but I did check the Dan thing when I could and the ebook version I checked did not say Dan, it said Lance. Overall the voice actors voices were very enjoyable to read I just wish there wasn’t the quality issues.
