Great British light trivia show.
Revisado: 10-24-24
David Mitchelll (British comedian) host this panel show witn other comedians trying to tell between lies and truth in creative stories. Great for listening to when, walking, doing mindless tasks or want a clever distraction. NOTE: There is no out snd out swearing, but the BBC allows anything that is a medical dictionary is acceptable for use on radio, so private body parts, euphemisms, and innuendos are prevelent.

This is a man with real potential. Fry's voice ntros make this the version hear.
Revisado: 10-07-21
As a mystery genre reader, having heard S. Holmes with other narrator's, this is the one I will recommend. Not only does Fry read the stories excellently, demonstrating his amazing vocal talent, but his personal intros to the sections are well researched and interesting. I actually learn new things about A.C.Doyle and hear some stories I didn't know existed. Well done Mr. Fry

Solid light cozy Mystery/Romance (Rom-stery)
Revisado: 07-21-21
These are light, cozy, romance mysteries, that are solid representatives of the mystery genre. The romance angle takes second to the mystery focus, which I prefer. I am not a fan of the alleged "mysteries" that are actually romance novels using the mystery solely for the purpose of furthering the romance. They do fall on the lighter side of the genre. Great for summer. Her other series, 1st book "Manna in Hades" are also good reads. Rating- 5-stars (OMG You have to read this book it will change your life). 4-stars (This is great book with that something extra good. I actively recommend this title.) 3-stars (This is exactly what I expect from a book, interesting characters, plot, timing, all-in-all a good read and easily recommend if asked). 2-stars ) Really nice effort but misses the mark, on the qualities above.) 1-star (used 3 x's in 10 year, over 3k books read. -This book is so horrible, my 50 year old parrot could write a better one, using "What's for dinner", "Will someone get the phone", and "Whose a good boy" phrases.

Historia
Bertie Bradshaw never set out to become a spy. He never imagined traipsing around war-torn London, solving ciphers, practicing surveillance, and searching for a traitor to the Allied forces. He certainly never expected that a strong-willed American girl named Eleanor would play Watson to his Holmes (or Holmes to his Watson, depending on who you ask). But when a young woman goes missing, leaving behind a coded notebook, Bertie is determined to solve the mystery.

They are simple phrases. They sound Christian - like something you might find in the Bible. We've all heard these words. Maybe we've said them. They capture some element of truth, yet they miss the point in important ways. Join Adam Hamilton in searching for the whole truth by comparing common Christian clichés to the message and ministry of Jesus.

wonderful explanation of how many common religious sayings are not what God or Jesus said or meant. Short read. I have yet to find a book by Hamilton that hasn't helped me to understand the meaning of what it is to be a Christian.

There’s more to the swamplands than meets the teeth. In this supernatural tale of magic and mysticism, Henry Lemarchand grew up in Philadelphia knowing very little of his family—his father disappeared when he was young, leaving behind only a strange pouch of animal teeth. When he is sent to the Louisiana bayou to spend the summer with his eccentric uncle and cousin in their decaying ancestral mansion, Henry learns about his family’s supernatural legacy.
