Historia
Clyde Edgerton’s ear for regional voices and his eye for life’s small but significant details enable him to create characters who are charming and utterly convincing. Beginning with an engagement announcement and ending with the birth of a son, Raney is a snapshot of the first few years of a modern Southern marriage. Newly married, Raney is a Southern Baptist who has lived her whole life in her tiny home town. Her husband, Charles, is a newcomer, a liberal raised in Atlanta.

Historia
For the first time, Gucci Mane tells his story in his own words. It is the captivating life of an artist who forged an unlikely path to stardom and personal rebirth. Gucci Mane began writing his memoir in a maximum-security federal prison. Released in 2016, he emerged radically transformed. He was sober, smiling, focused, and positive - a far cry from the Gucci Mane of years past. Born in rural Bessemer, Alabama, Radric Delantic Davis became Gucci Mane in East Atlanta, where the rap scene is as vibrant as the dope game.

Vivid Achievement for both the writer and narrator
Revisado: 06-21-18
Marlon James was able to write a tale about slavery in Jamaica that was both tragic and brave at the same time.
Until this book , I did not think much about the slavery that took place in the Caribbean. The characters came to life. I could see them, smell them and hear their voices. The violence in this book was hard to listen to but necessary to vividly show how horrible people of color has been and still is being treated all over the world. This book is a reminder to minorities of their heritage and why people of color should stand tall because their ancestors were strong and already endured the worst kind of pain. Robin Miles the narrator is Brilliant! Her ability to change her voice with each of the characters was amazing. She deserves an award of some sort. Kudos to Robin. :)
