Historia
Forced to come to grips with his understanding of the past - and its implications for the present - Roberts deftly moves between "then" and "now," ignorance and understanding, in honest, confessional prose that places the reader front and center for a true story that, indeed, is far stranger than fiction. Obsessive in nature and elliptical in structure, Roberts' story ultimately inhabits the liminal space between truth and appearances, love and danger, the hunter and the hunted.

He really loves himself
Revisado: 05-17-22
Would have been a decent read if not for the total infatuation he has with his own self. Very strange.

Historia
On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester's Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener's hand is severed as "the dome" comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when - or if - it will go away.

Under the Dome
Revisado: 05-26-21
Love anything by King...he’s a master at character building and this novel doesn’t disappoint. It’s full of distinct characters and personalities just as you would expect a small town to be. The dark undercurrent that is the familiar backdrop of so many King characters is alive and well under the dome.
For me the story was reminiscent of “The Stand” with its colorful characters and apocalyptic plot.
From a lifelong fan of the unique genre that is Stephen King I highly recommend this read.

Jaws is the classic blockbuster thriller that inspired the three-time Academy Award-winning Steven Spielberg movie and made millions of beachgoers afraid to go into the water. Experience the thrill of helpless horror again—or for the first time!

Historia
In December 1975, the Lutz family moved into their new home on suburban Long Island. George and Kathleen Lutz knew that, one year earlier, Ronald DeFeo had murdered his parents, brothers, and sisters in the house, but the property - complete with boathouse and swimming pool - and the price were too good to pass up. This is the shocking true story of an American dream that turned into a nightmare beyond imagining for the Lutz family, who were forced to flee their new home in terror.
