Who knew decluttering could be so spicy?
Revisado: 11-08-24
I loved this book. I've had clutter of different kinds throughout my past, and this felt like an interesting read, especially since I'm always promoting the notion that "if it's good for couples, it must be good enough for throuples too!" ;-) I was pleasantly surprised to find that the greatest value in these pages wasn't in the mundane cleaning of our collective rooms, but in the communication advice ABOUT the clutter. Clutter might just as well be a metaphor for "that thing you and your partner(s) see differently so it nags at you just a little more every day"... Gotta find ways to talk about them without saying things we wish we hadn't, right? Meanwhile, the author is just having fun with this whole thing, and yeah... adding a little sexy spice where appropriate.

I can't wait to see what happens next with this crew... Great story, humorous, and a wonderful narrator. Never heard him before but he works, for this cast. I really can't say much more without being a spoilsport. Read it!

Just okay

everything about this is just okay, with a favorable leaning towards "good" for the story. The performance was just a little too exaggerated "tough guy" for me.

Unexpected
Revisado: 07-07-23
I picked this up, not knowing a THING about disorders like this. I knew what Sybil taught me back in the '70s. I was blown away by the way the author spun the story and dug deeper and deeper into one family's experiences with DID. And the narrator was awesome also. Clear voice, good acting, and absolutely no distractions about the way they speak. Not usually my kind of read, but I literally couldn't stop once I got into it.

easy to hear and understand, lovely narration without so much "extra", and delicious poses. I highly recommend this one for a good sun salutation B workout (1.25X speed works best for me)

What FUN!!!
Revisado: 10-07-12
Where does Daemon rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Among the top three, and I've listened to about 20.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Daemon?
I loved the scene when they were trying to storm the "daemon stronghold".
What about Jeff Gurner’s performance did you like?
Wow. What a guy - he doesn't hold back in his acting for the microphone! Loved every character he portrayed.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
The Future is Here - and it's not what you think it is.
Any additional comments?
This is one of the best stories ever told. I really was engaged, from beginning to end. I'm an instant Daniel Suarez fan. Thank you!

Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Wow!
Revisado: 01-04-12
Where does 11-22-63 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
The best I've heard yet.
What other book might you compare 11-22-63 to and why?
The only other place I've read about tinkering with changing history is in some works by Robert Heinlein (e.g., The Door into Summer). But this gets so much deeper into that concept without actually being science fiction. The dipping into the past was a TASTY treat, coming from King.
What does Craig Wasson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Mr. Wasson does a great job with making each character unique and sticking to the roles. His emotion came through at very appropriate times, as well. And no distracting throat clearings or bothersome extraneous noise.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Wanted to - no way I could.
Any additional comments?
This was the first King book I've read/heard in a long time. I love the way he's maintained his style through the years, and continues to captivate with his story-telling.
