Historia
The Zombie War came unthinkably close to eradicating humanity. Max Brooks, driven by the urgency of preserving the acid-etched first-hand experiences of the survivors from those apocalyptic years, traveled across the United States of America and throughout the world, from decimated cities that once teemed with upwards of 30 million souls, to the most remote and inhospitable areas of the planet.

not what I expected
Revisado: 10-13-21
the narration was great. Enjoyed the cast that read it. The base of the story could be aligned with the Covid crisis possibly.
The concept of a virus being accidently on purpose is certainly not far fetched.
For the most part I enjoyed the story.

Historia
To this day, the LAPD, Los Angeles District Attorney’s office, mainstream media, and much of the world at large remain firmly convinced that O. J. Simpson literally got away with murder. According to private investigator William Dear, it is precisely this assuredness that has led both the police and public to overlook a far more likely suspect. Dear now compiles more than 16 years of investigation by his team of forensic experts and presents evidence that O. J. was not the killer.

Interesting View
Revisado: 10-13-21
I was interested in the story because while I never cared for tabloid stories around the OJ/Nicole marriage, relationship I didn't think he killed her. I have watched documentaries where evidence was introduced that indicated another suspect. If you like detective work and research you would enjoy this book.

Historia
I’ve been in this life for fifty years, been trying to work out its riddle for forty-two, and been keeping diaries of clues to that riddle for the last thirty-five. Notes about successes and failures, joys and sorrows, things that made me marvel, and things that made me laugh out loud. How to be fair. How to have less stress. How to have fun. How to hurt people less. How to get hurt less. How to be a good man. How to have meaning in life. How to be more me. Recently, I worked up the courage to sit down with those diaries.

Entertaining and Introspective
Revisado: 10-13-21
fully enjoyed this book, and loved that Matthew read his own story. Love that he is authentic to himself. Love that he could be bravely honest with himself and about himself. Love that he doesn't apologize or compromise. I will listen to this story again and hope he takes on the endeavor again as his life unfolds.

Why we think it’s a great listen: You thought he was a stodgy scientist with funny hair, but Isaacson and Hermann reveal an eloquent, intense, and selfless human being who not only shaped science with his theories, but politics and world events in the 20th century as well. Based on the newly released personal letters of Albert Einstein, Walter Isaacson explores how an imaginative, impertinent patent clerk became the mind reader of the creator of the cosmos.

Things I never knew
Revisado: 05-09-17
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, the man was remarkable and he had his faults but I think it demonstrates that you have to hold your own beliefs in higher regards than the opinions of others.
What other book might you compare Einstein to and why?
Maya Angelou in the same regards as they are people of integrity and stand up for what is right. Basically the humane thing.
What about Edward Herrmann’s performance did you like?
voice inflations, pleasant voice
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
multiple moments Einstein was aware of his shortcomings and he was brutally honest with himself and others. Finding he really didn't participate with the Hydrogen bomb and was not on the development team lifted my heart, and his response after finding out they did use it and destroyed so many life's.
Any additional comments?
Do we have people today that believe in the higher good and that it involves human beings?

Historia
God has more for us than what we are experiencing. We have all limited God in our lives at some point in one way or another. Fear of success, fear of persecution and imaginations are all ways that we limit God. We often see ourselves in a certain way but we have to change that image if we want to experience the abundant life that God has for us. To be able to see big things happen like healing, prosperity in finances, and restoration of marriages, you have to let the Word of God paint a picture on the inside of you.

Historia
In AD 793 Norse warriors struck the English isle of Lindisfarne and laid waste to it. Wave after wave of Norse "sea wolves" followed in search of plunder, land, or a glorious death in battle. Much of the British Isles fell before their swords, and the continental capitals of Paris and Aachen were sacked in turn. Turning east, they swept down the uncharted rivers of central Europe, captured Kiev, and clashed with mighty Constantinople, the capital of the Byzantine Empire.
