My nostalgia was ruined by the voice actor

I'm not sure what happened in the intervening years between books but the voice actor seems to have lost all ability to be consistent. from him changing up accents mid conversation with the same characters (no not when nick changes to his malachi form) to Simis incomprehensible accent his reading has me questioning whether to get the next book.

The character development is in a category of it's own and the way he can explain the thoughts of a child are entertaining on another level. I laughed and cried and just enjoyed this so very much.

As with the rest of the series the narrator sounded as though she was reading it for the first time and the pauses were off and didnt make sence. The story however was strong enough that I finished the entire series.

great story.

The narrator had issues with where to pause and it was distracting as a listener. The inflection didnt always match the intensity of the story but the writing was very good and helped to finish the story.
