Greenwood does an absolutely stellar job of covering the topics. I was so keen to get started with the principles and I was a little daunted by the 36 hour playtime of the original work. I do recommend getting the original because I’m listening to it now and it’s really awesome. I love it. But I have listened to Greenwood’s summary three or four times already and I’m sure that I will again. Highly recommended to get started with the work immediately. I put the principles to work with great results after chapter two of Greenwood’s summary.

I wanted the power of integrating the book’s title belief into my psyche. That’s what attracted me to the book. I’ve been successful with sobriety by constantly reading the facts about alcohol through books like this one, Allen Carr’s liminal thinking books, and memoirs of alcoholics. It’s a powerful strategy that worked for me. This book is the best in class because of its wise awareness that the key to letting go of drinking forever to to stop judging yourself. Even for drinking. Thanks, Paul Churchill! Wonderful book, loved your authenticity!

I chose this title because I feel like every time I read more books that affirm my belief that life can be better without drinking, my strength to continue in sobriety will be bolstered. I am correct about that, for sure! I wasn’t expecting the spiritual, yet very down to earth perspective in this book. So welcome and wonderful. Like Laura, I sometimes have this niggling feeling that my life is less than by a tiny amount without drinking in my life, even though my conscious mind knows it is so much better! I have learned that just one drink affects my mood. Why would I give away my own joy! I loved her explanation about examining the question: what is good about drinking alcohol that I want to keep? I felt her keen appreciation for AA, and loved her “take it or leave it, it’s up to you” perspective on the label of alcoholic, which I find unhelpful. Thank you for this wonderful book.
