Historia
The 20th century witnessed an explosion of creativity as artists, musicians, and writers rejected centuries of past practice and boldly created new visual forms, new musical languages, and new ways of thinking. This is the story of the individuals who created the art, told within the context of the times in which they lived.

Great listen!

Good for those who are interested in a broad overview of 20th century art or would like a refresher. While some might prefer to read it physically if they’re not familiar with a work that might be mentioned, those who are listening for a refresher probably won’t have that sort of problem. Any works I wasn’t super familiar with (mostly the musical side) I took a moment to write down the name and would listen to or further research it later.
Overall, well written and well read! Of particular interest to me were the sections about styles of art from 1900 to 1950, and this was one of few audiobooks that touched on that period with a satisfying depth.
