I'd listen to Matt Berry read the phone book. Some of the references were over my head, I'm sad to say, but it's a delightful book even for an uncouth and under cultured American such as myself.

Starts out promising, falls into the same routine as the previous books very quickly, kinda flubs the intrigue and peters out with a whimper. I realize that the FNAF lore especially at the time was disjointed and limited so you kinda have to wedge certain things in, but the only reason I powered through this one, besides the lovely narration work by Freeman, is that I was interested enough in the protagonists from the first book.

I went into this book because it had been recommended to me after mentioning Holmes. At first I was disappointed because the book really isn't about him so much as it is about the Columbian Exhibition but honestly it became so fascinating that I couldn't stop listening. The saga of the fair, the circumstances in Chicago and the country with Holmes' atrocities blended in made for an excellent story.
