My favourite book

I cannot count how many times I have cried and laughed while listening to this book, or the countless times I would smile when I remember an excerpt from it. The story is well written, and the characters are well developed individuals in the book. And I would be remiss if I forget to acknowledge the stellar performance of Kate Reading. Her rendering perfectly captured the wit and charm of the Marquess of Dain. Thank you Ms chase for birthing truly great personages.

average story, characters, His narration is in stark contrast to Her narration. His character is supposed to be this serious Alpha playboy but as out as flat, forgettable. Lucy's male voice is awful, sorry. I get the impression she's trying quite hard to sound like Shane East, maybe it's just me though. Overall, this story ( the first book) in the trilogy could have been saved by better voice acting.

clean, witty and lovely story. I was quite surprised with it. I am immensely happy that I decided to listen to this book. the narrator is perfect for this book.

I truly love this story. it is honest, intense without being overwhelming. The actors did a superb job. Ash and Zelda are perfectly developed characters in a beautifully written story .

Teeth gritting

Katherine , the main character of the story is exasperating almost the entire story. The narrator portrayed her exactly as the story tells it so. I'm torn wether to continue listening or to stop. The story won in the end. I think this book would have been better done in duet only to give a stronger character to Bastian .

surprised . great story & exciting characters.

tbt, I listened to this book because the title intrigued me. It was a delightful surprise to find the story line didn't bore me. the main characters were likeable despite of Asmodeus being a demon. the story was of medium pace but kept me excited enough to just be close to the edge of my seat. the narrator did a very good job of bringing the main and sub characters to life which were a lot of them , without overwhelming the story.

pleasant surprise

this is a well written book, I love how the characters develop as the story unfolds. I went through all the emotions of all the characters; seeing things from their point of view and I was blown away by how the author told their stories,. I couldn't stop listening, it kept me up all night. The characters were too real, I could actually say I hate them and loved them at some point of the story. One such moment was when the main character Jackson kept hitting one of the broken cars on his backyard instead of taking out his anger on himself, Grace or her father , after Loreta told him the truth about how his mother and her husband. (I literally wanted to go inside the book and scratch her eyes out, she was just so cruel!) The narrators were exceptional, both told the story like it is without resorting to theatrics to evoke emotions from me, their narration did that effortlessly. If there is one book I would buy today this would be it. Thank you to the author for writing these tragically beautiful story and to the narrators for breathing life to these complex and real characters.

angsty main female character

the story was going really well, then it had to take a crude left turn on the female character. so much hang up, I was expecting that with the main male character not on her. this had to unveil in chapter 40, too late for me not to finish the story.

I couldn't stop laughing. the narrators were both spot on. it's like listening to somebody tell a joke with a straight face. I love the story. one of the best narrations I've listened to.
