Secrets can sometimes reveal a treasure
Revisado: 11-26-14
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, I would recommend this audiobook, and tell these stories until I order the paperback! I share my books with family and friends!!
Who was your favorite character and why?
I don't know who my favorite character would be. Maddie just wants a place to really call home but she doesn't want to "cause waves", but Boone is such a "man" and seemingly unforgiving. He's melting slowly and unwillingly.
What about Eric G. Dove’s performance did you like?
He makes me want to laugh in the proper places and cry in the others, his narration is fantastic!!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I guess there were a couple parts in the book that moved me. Finding out about Maddie's father and Boone's realization of family, that can really come true!
Any additional comments?
I enjoyed Eric's narration of this romantic and a little suspenseful book. A great "read"!

Historia
The second book in New York Times and USA Today bestselling Texas romance author Jean Brashear's TEXAS HEROES: The Gallaghers of Morning Star series—stories rich with emotion, ripe with secrets, scandals and sexual tension. Mitch Gallagher is a loner, down to the bone. Banished at sixteen from everything and everyone he held dear, he's an intensely private man whose rusty, unused heart long ago gave up on love. Fragile Perrie Matheson is on the run to protect her beloved son. Too ill to travel further with a winter storm on the way, she has no choice but to gamble her child's safety on a man who wants only to be left alone. But during days spent together in the mountain cabin, Mitch and Perrie each find surprises in store...and all the reasons they should stay apart battle with the yearnings of hearts too long denied love.

Pride can blind you to the Truth
Revisado: 08-23-14
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a good love torn story. I love old west stories especially set in Texas!!
What did you like best about this story?
I like Rose's strength and honest conviction! She endured Travis' narrow unrelenting distrust and saw the man he really was and could be. She tried to do good for everyone she came in contact with and to face her fears to rescue and console. She is a lady without all the adornments.
Have you listened to any of Robin Rowan’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This is the first book I have listened to narrated by Robin Rowan, I enjoyed her portrayal of the characters!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I wouldn't say I had an extreme reaction to the book. There were several instances that made me laugh and some that made me want to slap Travis and tell him to get off his "high horse".
Any additional comments?
I enjoyed this story of love catching even the most "stubborn" man unaware. That believing and protecting your family blindly may lead to unexpected awakenings. Now I will have to get the next book in the series, as well as print edition!! Great read!!

Trust so hard to obtain
Revisado: 08-21-14
What did you like best about SEAL the Deal? What did you like least?
I like that the Seal team are a band of brothers that puts family first. I guess the thing I liked the least is that maybe there was more sex than story.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
It was an enjoyable story, just not enough of the story versus the sex
What does J.D. Hart bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I haven't read the book myself....I enjoyed J.D. Hart's narration.
Did SEAL the Deal inspire you to do anything?
Yes, it inspired me to not take anything for granted. No one knows what tomorrow will bring!
Any additional comments?
I would still buy more books in this series by Sharon Hamilton because I enjoy the military aspects of all my romance books and a portion of the proceeds go to the Wounded Warrior project...I can always skip pages if they are superfluous to me.

Historia
ATF Special Agent Tobias Burke is undercover in West Virginia, infiltrating a militia led by Captain Dylan Connelly, suspected of murdering the Secretary of Defense. Dylan, once the Army's battalion leader of Mortuary Affairs, now works as a physician at the local Veterans Hospital, while leading her late-father's Seventh Amendment Militia. When Tobias Burke shows up to enlist, with his ladies-man humor and lovable Labrador retriever, Dylan knows his killer charm hides an ulterior motive. As evidence against Dylan mounts, Tobias's instincts-and then his heart-betray him into wondering if Dylan is being framed. Now, with Dylan's militia locked in a stand-off with the FBI and the nation watching the drama unfold on television, Tobias stares down the barrel of the most difficult choice in his life: expose the real killer and clear Dylan's name, or follow orders.

What is the truth? What you've read or see?
Revisado: 08-20-14
Would you consider the audio edition of The Enforcer to be better than the print version?
I liked the print version better, simply because I am paper phobic!! I envisioned Toby "huskier" and Dylan a little more "feminine"
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Enforcer?
PTSD is evident in several of the characters and some were able to work through them better than others. Just as in real life, every individual works through their disorders differently.
What does David Brenin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I don't know that David brought anything to the story that I would miss....since I tend to read and re-read my books, just in case I might have missed something the first couple of times around. David does good narration on the books I've listened to that he has narrated. I just had the characters envisioned differently.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I felt sorry for the actual "terrorist", since he/she should have seen that their thinking was skewed, even if they were just trying to "help"
Any additional comments?
This is a great series!! Love that so many authors are directing their efforts toward our military and other stress related issues!

Memories and Resentment collide into Trust
Revisado: 08-15-14
Would you listen to The Bounty Hunter: Rafe's Story again? Why?
I would listen to Rafe and Tayla's story again so I could see what I didn't "hear" the first time I listened to their story. And, to figure if the female sheriff is in another story to come.
Have you listened to any of Troy Duran’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I listened to The Rancher, the first book in the Redbourne series. I love the story set in 1876, which, led me to order The Bounty Hunter. The narration is a little monotone but he does a great job of "telling" their stories!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
There are several twists and turns before coming to the realization of who the true "bad" man is in the story. There are several moving parts in the book...when Jake is injured and Rafe has to doctor him back to health....Tayla slowly getting her memories back...the twister tearing through town and Rafe finally letting go of his resentment toward Tayla

Revisado: 08-04-14
Would you consider the audio edition of The Rancher to be better than the print version?
I haven't read the print version yet....will have to order the books...now that I know I LIKE them!!! Very good read!!
What other book might you compare The Rancher to and why?
Maybe A Lady of the West by Linda Howard....only because they each have secrets that they think they are protecting the other by keeping it to themselves. The "old" west which I love!! Strong willed women and handsome and equally strong men!!
Have you listened to any of Troy Duran’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This is the first one I have listened to.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Charcoal and spitfire tangle
Any additional comments?
I enjoyed this audiobook tremendously and once again I have found another author that I am going to buy the "paperback" book. Only, because I am a paper addict :)

Revisado: 06-24-14
Would you consider the audio edition of The Guardian to be better than the print version?
Haven't read the print version yet...bought the print version because I enjoyed the audio so much....just had to read it for myself!!!
What did you like best about this story?
It was very intriguing...did not figure out the true bad guys until near the end. It is humorous
and sexy without going over the top.
Which character – as performed by David Brenin – was your favorite?
I liked all the characters but enjoyed the fact that Jackson got his own book and was able to open up from his character in the Protector. I probably would have given a different accent to Jackson though!!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I try to listen to them in one sitting but after work doesn't lend enough time to sit and listen to it in one sitting. But when I'm gardening and cleaning house I do listen non-stop!!!
Any additional comments?
I was introduced to audio by Wendy Lindstrom and have enjoyed trying out authors I haven't read yet. I just happened along Marliss Melton and thought I would give her a try. I love the Task Force series and have ordered those books in print....I will continue to read her as well as Wendy Lindstrom!! I am a big fan of "paper" so that says a lot about how well I liked these audio books to order them in print!!
