Graham Hancock has spent decades researching and writing some of the most ambitious and successful nonfiction investigations into ancient civilizations and wisdom. Entangled uses all of Hancock's skills and knowledge to propel a fantasy adventure like nothing else preceding it. Historia
In 2014, the world witnessed the start of a mysterious series of cyberattacks. Targeting American utility companies, NATO, and electric grids in Eastern Europe, the strikes grew ever more brazen. They culminated in the summer of 2017, when the malware known as NotPetya was unleashed, penetrating, disrupting, and paralyzing some of the world's largest businesses—from drug manufacturers to software developers to shipping companies. At the attack's epicenter in Ukraine, ATMs froze. The railway and postal systems shut down. Hospitals went dark.

Propaganda under the guise of a story.
Revisado: 10-03-23
First half was great. Second half was nauseatingly ideologically positioned propaganda.
Most of the Russian election meddling stuff has since been disproven and the author makes his political bias known by offering up speculation as fact instead of simply presenting the facts and letting the reader make their own speculations.

Historia
Cult of the Dead Cow is the tale of the oldest, most respected, and most famous American hacking group of all time. Though until now it has remained mostly anonymous, its members invented the concept of hacktivism. Today, the group and its followers are battling electoral misinformation, making personal data safer, and battling to keep technology a force for good instead of for surveillance and oppression. Cult of the Dead Cow shows how governments, corporations, and criminals came to hold immense power over individuals and how we can fight back against them.

Started off good. Just more propaganda
Revisado: 10-14-19
Cunning book that has a subtle difference between the retelling of a story and the insertion of propaganda. The book would tell of something that was happening, then would casually insert their assessment of what it means as if it were fact....much of which has since been disproven. The things that the book chose to share, while omitting the other things gave a clear bias, which isn't surprising considering it was written to "provide context", or rather play PR for, Beto O'rourke To try and manipulate people politically through book of intrigue is just stupid.

Personable, Informative, Riveting! Fantastic read
Revisado: 09-19-19
Listening to Edward Snowden share about his childhood gave a pang of nostalgia for my own childhood growing up as computers became a normal part of our every day life. I hadn't expected to read this and get emotional, but that's just what happened. I was inspired by his sharing of what i view as integrity to his own virtues and his commitment to the truth. After reading this, i can see why many in our Intelligence Community would want to prevent us from reading this. Much of what was in here was already suspect by many of us citizens, and i'm grateful for Snowden's difficult choice to throw himself on the coals on behalf of the rest of us!

Very unengaging, Hard to hear.
Revisado: 06-13-16
I loved the first book, and so I spent $9 on this one not realizing it was so short.
I have started this book over 4 times now, which isn't hard to do considering it's only 40 minutes. The audio quality of this particular recording is crap and it's hard to hear him and it's easy to get distracted.

Horrible narration
Revisado: 12-14-15
I listened to the end but I kept wanting to quit. The narrator sounds like the guy back in high school that you would hope didn't get called on to read.
Improper pronunciations, emphasis on the wrong words, nasally, and the sound of when someone's trying to sound "really spiritual" about what they're sharing.
