Clearly an author short on ideas, trying to spin out a short story into a series. Disappointing

Historia
David Starr Jordan was a taxonomist, a man possessed with bringing order to the natural world. In time, he would be credited with discovering nearly a fifth of the fish known to humans in his day. When his specimen collections were demolished by lightning, by fire, and eventually by the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, many might have given up, given in to despair. But Jordan? He surveyed the wreckage at his feet, found the first fish that he recognized, and confidently began to rebuild his collection. And this time, he introduced one clever innovation.

Why Fish Don’t Exist is precious jewel!
Revisado: 05-12-21
OK, I’ll admit it—I don’t read much non-fiction. But this book is so much more than science! It’s philosophy with a side of taxonomy (or vice versa). It’s a timely social commentary on exceptionalism. It’s hilarious and heart-breaking. Lulu Miller exalts and defames her hero with the sharp scalpel of deep research. My advice—read it!

Historia
Verity Jane, gifted app whisperer, takes a job as the beta tester for a new product: a digital assistant, accessed through a pair of ordinary-looking glasses. "Eunice", the disarmingly human AI in the glasses, manifests a face, a fragmentary past, and a canny grasp of combat strategy. Realizing that her cryptic new employers don’t yet know how powerful and valuable Eunice is, Verity instinctively decides that it’s best they don’t.

OMG, he’s back with more magic
Revisado: 04-14-20
Despite Verity’s sometimes annoyingly facile, injenuesque leanings, this is a delightful salad of a tech-fi, time-travel, deep state romp. You’ll not be disappointed.

An Entomologist's DREAM (or nightmare?)
Revisado: 08-08-17
Outstanding dramatic performance supporting a novel, compelling plot. I don't often contribute reviews, but this book was quite special: a science fiction themed, post apocalyptic tale that layers tech-savy over a fascinating look at the nature of beasts, both great and small.

I am very fond of Denmark and have often visited. I bought this book in anticipation of a bit of historically flavored suspense. Mistake. The narrator's accents varied from East Texan to SoCal. The plot was thin, and the character development very unsatisfying. I've never returned a book before. . . this was a first.

This series has been wonderful. I'm not a "young adult" reader, yet I remain enchanted with Grossman's tale and Bramhall's rendering.

Historia
In Wyrd Sisters, the enchanting world of Discworld is turned upside down by three meddling witches: Granny Weatherwax, Nanny Ogg and Magrat Garlick. Their interference in royal politics causes kingdoms to wobble, crowns to topple, knives to flash and citizens to shudder in fear. Terry Pratchett's vividly imaginative story takes you on a journey with hunchbacked monarchs, lost crowns, disguised heirs, refuelling broomsticks and frightening thunderstorms, as the three sisters battle the odds to restore the rightful king to the throne.

Celia Imrie IS the feminine voice of Terry Prachet
Revisado: 09-04-12
Would you listen to Wyrd Sisters again? Why?
Of course. My first glimpse into the witchy side of Discworld did no disappoint. These women are the original feminists. Hooray for the Wyrd Sisters!
Have you listened to any of Celia Imrie’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes. As good as any. She is a master narrator.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Wymen Gone Wyld!
