Easy and interesting book. Great book about friendship, loyalty, honesty, and responsibility . The main character, Joel, is faced with adult decisions that ultimately alter his young life. Excellent book to teach about life choices and consequences.

Phenomenal Sequel! It jumps right into where the 1st book left off. The action is superb. Each character evolves into true MasterMinds. Their uncanny ability to work out problems is beyond amazing. Korman did a spectacular job on his 2nd book. It is a page turner! My students loved it. The dynamic between Malik and Amber is hilarious. The budding "romance" between Eli and Tori is cute. The overall dynamic of all of the character interactions is amazing. My students are looking forward to the 3rd installment. I am too!

My kiddos (and I) are normally a tremendous fan of Korman (MasterMinds Trilogy, Whatshisface, The Juvie Three, Swindle). However, they had a difficult time with the Ungifted story line. Considering the amount of books we have read from Korman, I was expecting a lot more action with the main character, Donovan. Donovan was the bad boy of the book, yet when he went to A.S.D., he did not experience any significant, memorable adventures. Noah Youkilis was a character that I kept waiting and wanting to evolve. However, he stayed stagnant thoughout the book. When Noah developed a goofy interest in YouTube, I was sure his story line would take off. Sadly, it did not.

I am going to give Supergifted a chance and hope the action we are looking for is there!

Fantastic young adult literature! Walter Dean Myers always finds a way to make his work interesting and relatable to his readers. This book is NOT your standard novel; it is written from the perspective of Steve Harmon as though he were creating a screenplay for a movie. The various character perspectives are outstanding. The audio is absolutely amazing as well. It really adds a different level of understanding when my students can hear the tone, fluctuations, and overall personality of each character. Highly recommend!

Amazing! We are reading this in my Language Arts class and the kids are loving it. It is part one of a 3 part series and they are alreadylooking forward to the 2nd book (Criminal Destiny).

The different character perspectives are awesome and interesting. MasterMinds has everything: Malik...the resident "bad" guy, Amber...the "perfect" daughter., Tori...the "free" thinker., and Eli..."the "rational" one.

This book leaves you guessing what will happen next. The underlying paradox of the town, Serenity, is fascinating. There are SO many ways to teach this book. I highly recommend this book to anyone, especially to middle school!

Carl Hiaasen always manages to throw in some serious education in his books (Tourist Season, Holes, Flush!

Although I teach Language Arts, I love the science correlation. Upon completion of this book, my students researched the owls and completed dioramas/research papers about their information. It was a great experience. As a reward for all of their hard work, we watched the movie. Unfortunately, the movie did not meet the expectations of such a well written book. With that being said, it was absolutely amazing that my students actually thought a BOOK was better than a MOVIE! Job well done, Carl Hiassen!

What made the experience of listening to Who Put That Hair in My Toothbrush? the most enjoyable?

My students enjoyed the alternating voices between Greg and Megin. We also enjoyed the secondary characters like Zoe and Valducci!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Who Put That Hair in My Toothbrush??

The most memorable moment was the "mature" conversation between Megin and Sue Ann at the sleepover.

What three words best describe Christina Moore and Johnny Heller ’s voice?

Entertaining, Fun, Personable

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Sibling Rivalry

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

The voice of Kaylee needed more fluctuation when it came to voicing the males in her story. My students did not like the Kaylee narration, especially when it came to D.J.

What was one of the most memorable moments of NEED?

The mother's secret was pretty memorable. I don't want to give it away because I don't want to spoil the book! However, it was a huge turning point in the story line.

What didn’t you like about Laura Knight Keating and Therese Plummer ’s performance?

I did not like Kaylee's voice (I am unsure who voiced which characters.). I pictured Kaylee with a far more dramatic flair. Especially considering all of the things she did prior to her NEED request to get her brother the help he needed. I think the narrator for Kaylee should have played up Kaylee's personality far more than she did.

I also think it would have been awesome to get a male to narrate the parts of the guys in the book. This book is already intricately layered, adding a male narrator would have added the final piece to make the audio awesome.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from NEED?

I wouldn't have cut any. I would have developed some characters a bit more though, such as Ethan and Sydney.

What made the experience of listening to The Chocolate War the most enjoyable?

My Pre-Ap 8th grade students were amazed by this book because we went over why it is often challenged . The voice actor is phenomenal. He captures the personality of each character remarkably.

What did you like best about this story?

The complex nature of Archie and The Vigils, Jerry, The Goober, and Brother Leon make this an awesome read. All characters displayed very humanistic qualities...hedonistic, frightening personalities, manipulative, humorous, etc.

Which scene was your favorite?

Too many to name. I would say all scenes involving Archie were page turners. He is such a dark character. Almost surreal how manipulative he is for such a young person.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If possible, yes! However, we studied over a course of a month and a half.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I teach 6th and 8th grade. My students read this in both grade levels. They loved Harris and his personality. This has to be one of my favorite young adult books. I absolutely love Harris and his innocence. He is unbelievably funny and precocious

What did you like best about this story?

Harris, the cousin, and the adventures they always encountered were hilarious. Glennis and her relationship with Harris is priceless. There is a love there, but it is a tough love. I wish Knute had more of a personality and Louie was too creepy...and disgusting.

Do you think Harris and Me needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Yes, I would love for Harris to visit the cousin in the city and see what types of shenanigans they could get into.
